You know what i found disappointing? I met Don last year after a show in NJ, i told him i thought the up from the ashes album was great and his response was " thank you! But thats a part of my life im not so quick to wannna remember." I get the dokken band by then had a bitter ending, this album should be celebrated its a great record with a killer line up.

Everything is always fine when you're blaring out this masterpiece! 🤘🏻

Man he made a killer solo Album!! trust me EVERYTHING is fine!! love his Voice! Dokken 4ever and the whole Hair Metal Strip Glam Scene....the last decade of big arena rock! when rock stars put out quality music and could still look like they were cool and bad 2 the bone!

For those of us who can appreciate the musicality in this entire album, we are but the chosen few. Outstanding throughout and very under-appreciated 🤘🏻👏🏻

Fucking badass album!

This album rules top to bottom. Better than every Dokken album from Dysfunctional to Lightning Strikes Again.

Such an annoying start. With Dokken everything goes better, otherwise in Finland. It's getting down down down to the drain scale.

This is a damn good CD, great solo on this song

Now consider that this record is every bit the equal of back for the attack, and no George lynch on it.... Speaks volumes for Norum and the other guitar player on it!!!!

Don't get me wrong, this album was very well written and both guitarists involved are excellent, but listening to a lot of the guitar phrasing, especially the riff, get me thinking that either they were consciously trying to sound like Lynch or Don pushed them more towards that sound that he and his fanbase were intimately familiar with. Either way, doesn't change how great this song is.

Well, the "Dokken" sound was always Don's sound, never Lynch's. I mean think about it, Lynch's style basically instantly changes when he starts Lynch mob but the Dokken sound always followed Don, either he was imitating Lynch for the rest of the bands time or the sound was never Lynch's to begin with.

Breaking the chains (1981 and 1983) Tooth and Nail, Under Lock and Key, Back for the Attack, Up from the Ashes, Dysfunctional, Shadowlife, Erase the Slate, Long way Home, Hell to pay, Lightning Strikes Again, Solitary, Broken Bones.

Billy White and Jonn Norum Soul and Style I was there when Don and all the others made this, and I Love it. Don was so fuckin busy with producing and being creative despite all the other everyday stuff that 99% of us never think about. If you only knew the heart and soul and sweat that went into this, for you the fans.........hit me up if you want details. Nothing but Respect here
