great song. DMX's music has always made me think. i majored in religion in college. i finally came up with a way to help kids in a universal sense. i made a blueprint of a project on www.allinservice.org that anybody can just do in titheir hometown for the kids. it's a simple community service project helping kids on juvenile probation to finish their court ordered hours.

So relevant the battle from within!

This song reminds me of my Papa Joe Grieco who was raised in a basement apartment w his father and eight siblings. His mother died from cancer when they were young. They worked and owned many different businesses to get by and pay for his brothers law school education. He owned taxis, restaurants, worked the docks...his brother died from ammonia right after he past the bar and became a lawyer. My Papa got married and had three children, one being my mother. They spent time living in the projects. He hustled and got an apartment in a better neighborhood for his kids after that. Later on when he was well off, he returned to the neighborhood he was from...the neighborhood that made him strong....East Boston...and bought and owned a three family home.

This song is a masterpiece. I think underrated in the arena of rap classics.
