DJ Shadow - Napalm Brain / Scatter Brain Lyrics
Ah, ah, ah-ha ha, well hello there little buddy, come on in!
Whatcha got there with you? That your dog?
Guess there's no reason you can't have dogs up
There on the moon, that's a good pretty good looking pooch...
Betcha come back for more of Dr. Neptune's
Ha ha ha ha, I knew you would, I'll get that for ya...
Oh, I see, you figured out where it is, didn'tcha
Well, alright, I'll tell you what I'll do,
I'll set up the checkerboard here.
We'll have us another game of checkers...
One without all that cheating you done last time...
We ain't gonna have no more of that I can tell ya'...
I seen what you done...
They have any glasses like that up there on the moon?
Testify...
Napalm...
When the bomb's activated and mutilated the leg and arms...

forever
Dope to the limit!
Its a real shocker to see him pASSED OUT OUTSIDE OF WAITROSE.
My homeless friend has a dog called Dylan and he takes more care of him than his heroin addiction.
Is the Pooch called Dylan?
I don't think anyone will ever come close to making such an album or the other ever again. One of those things in life I suppose. A moment or period of time Captured forever. Like going to the stars.
From 4.38....it just goes into something else...beyond words.....
This one of the best....ever! ❤❤❤😈😈😈
Reminds me of when my son was four years old listening to this while I was driving. He loves the whole album. Now he's in his junior year in college. It's heavy how fast time flies.
I can’t tell if this song makes me feel like dunking on mj or I’m in a trippy matrix scene🤷🏻♂️
LOL Why the pic of the girl? I would say "clickbait" but it's not even the thumbnail hahaha
When it kicks in at 4.33.... whole track awesome.... awesome beats and soooo beautiful too xxx❤❤❤
4:59 one of the greatest moments on this album, if not the greatest
me thinks you overshot the mark by 31 secs..
6:50 does it for me..
This was my favorite track on this album.
muy bueno! estoy alucinando un poco...
good good good indeed
This is a masterpiece of archeological research and of technical development. This is art.
No album has affected me more. Innovative, creative, original. Everything about this project is timeless.
Same here brother.
I have been loving this track since I was 13. Turning 31 soon. <3
Stay strong during your inevetable mid life crisis.
That guitar at 2:38 sounds like it could be background music for a porno
dude, ever since i listen for the fist time this album 13 years ago i though the same thing! ron jeremy kinda of porn.
an atmospheric porno
This guitar reminds me purely of Jimi Hendrix, that dirty sound, that tune, the melody, an amazing sound, 80's/90's porno material for sure
I love how alive these drums are. I love that at the end the drums subtlety fade in under the strings. After all that energy, the beat still patters from memory.
Shadow is brilliant. Hip hop, symphonic, orchestral. What a build up from middle to end. Just astonishing. One of my favorite 10 songs from the 1990s for sure.
What are the other 9?
Sampler...Scratched....masterpiece
Such a fucking masterpiece.
Incredibly optimistic song. Astoundingly positive vibes. Love it.
This song, Changeling and What does your soul look like part 4, the most epic songs ever
the ending of changeling (before the creepy bit) is just something else....
great track. reminds me of the style on decksanddrumsandrockandroll by propellerheads (although they did come 2/3 years after this)
don't usually "choose the best song", especially when it comes to great artists, but if I had to choose one out of this album it would be this one. again. and again.
@4:45 the beat is soo dope, 1_1,2_1,2,3. Inspired how I write metal
Good song but not the best one, what does your soul look like part 4, changeling, midnight in a perfect world are all superior
...midnight on a perfect world... but this one is is a hidden, or sort of the closing kiss/final statement.
Yep. This and Windowlicker.
Agreed. This is the best on the album. Easily.
i love that guitar
That's me he scratched in at 1:55 - 2:02.
Legendary!
after 2mins i think
whom gives a shit
it takes an ass ti care'
never account for thing you wish
Got to love that Crocodile dundee sample, those strings............
bob james Yes! I came here to see if somebody else recognized it, how could you not!
This song is a fucking masterpiece. It basically has an Intro, Act I, Act II, and Outro. 10 out of fucking 10

Danke, Herr Davidek!
Anyone know where the guitar riff that kicks in at about 2:38 is from? Love it!
some of these samples have been buried on stacks of vinyl for decades
daly-wilson big band - space odyssey 2001
So ahead of its time. Briiliant.
Namaste!
This is a nice track, I'm digging it! :)
You can find more songs like this one on my channel.
All the best,
Astroboter
Still sounds as good as it did the first time i heard it at a house party by our mucker DJ Pete.... those were the days
Sounds like me mate
This song is genius. The entire album is genius.
This shit is cosmic channeling. It's pure. Most of his other stuff is down hill from here (great up-bumps along the way). Endtrodcuing is right. but this was pure. changed the whole energy landscape of the 90's and early 2000's. my soul made its early contact with my mind listening to this stuff. intuitively I think shadow knew this and was helping a whole generation land/incarnate/ connect to their higher self.
i'm going off tho...
deskryptic Very well stated, sir.
i cant stop listening to this song
The ending is incredibly emotional.
dude I have a shitload of emotions, how can I display my emotions through music too?
Jerk it off?
I know exactly what you mean for some reason it brings back memories of youth and fun that I miss
sweet track
Anyone know what notes the bass is playing? My buddies and I want to cover this.
Give me time marks and I'll find the notes
Did you ever cover it?
so fuckin ill
Never heard this before yesterday. Cant stop playing it now!
I also like Amp Live's material he did in Zion I. Mind Over Matter album had some good beats.
yeah- what he said. &to get real technical and smart a**; it's a picture of two men shopping for albums in a record store.
It's the album cover for "Endtroducing"
What's the picture of?
it's all 4/4
glad this album is in the 100 greatest deubt albums of all time, but honestly this is my favorite album of all time.
Blazing song.
Can anyone tell me what the drums timing is in? It sounds scatter-brained :D
1:57 best part

The toy bird-whislte sound effect that drops with the guitar riff makes this track.
