DJ Khaled - Victory Lyrics

[DJ Khaled]
They doubted me all my life
Now it’s victory
(DJ KHALED!)

[John Legend]
Whatever it is, I’ll pay the cost
I’m willing to risk it, I’ll take the loss
I’ll put it all on the line
In a hustler’s state of mind

I’m gonna make history
Just so we can claim victory (Victory)
Oh, victory (Victory)
(Nasir!)

[Nas]
Speedboats, three tokes and pass it
Grass lit, hittin’ slopes in Aspen
No coat, just an oath to stay thorough ’til we back to ashes
Driven in fly sedans to the MGM Grand
Picture lots of sand, two blondes, implants
Remy in hand, we tryna tan, deal my cards with an honest hand
A modest man, aware of any counter-scam
Palm trees, magnum Don Ps, LV monograms
Hottest girls flew from Rio
Mojitos, mucho frio, my libido
Sex so strong, without the E, though
Hollow threats, we don’t see those
Higher death toll whenever we roll
That process is pivotal
My pitiful poverty-struck criminals will get a Jew
Then we lounge in a Spanish-style house
‘Til it all blows over, Dolce Gabbana out
Contemplatin’, there is no bond with Satan
Say a little prayer for me like Aretha Franklin
For my hustlers, here’s some motivation
He who has begun is half done, why you waitin’?
I’m too impatient to pray, too much patience for stress
It’s too much paper to rest, fuck around, you face death
I know some niggas from Astoria
That’ll cut your daughter up
Like I used to cut a quarter up
Makin’ all the bucks, banana clips I bought in Georgia bucks
Kill all you fucks, easy
I be on the golf cart, sleepy
Y’all beneath me
Y’all be at the pawn shop, pawnin’ watches
Obnoxious, can’t stop us, we shottas
Say you killin’ Pablo? Impossible
Nonsense, preposterous, bizarre at best
Unfulfilled promises
I feel intelligence is my wealth
However, how enormous is Nas’ pockets is a pop quiz to gossipers
See me at the Oscars, lookin’ dreamy, hood opulent
Means esoteric, how I wore it
Exoticness makes you curious to see how serious my closet is
Shareholders wanna invest in that Nas stock, it’s just
We be on that real shit, luxury four-wheel shit
Niggas actin’ thirst on some just-got-a-deal shit
Ha, for that victory we will kill shit
Get out the way, playboy, this is real shit
(Khaled!)

Whatever it is, I’ll pay the cost
I’m willing to risk it, I’ll take the loss
I’ll put it all on the line
In a hustler’s state of mind

I’m gonna make history
Just so we can claim victory (Victory)
Oh, victory (Victory)

Just so we can claim victory
Oh, victory
Victory

Just so we can claim victory

nas is the best. He used Half a mil flow on this one though.

    M.... ....

@RelaxednCalm2015 Halfs flow was unorthodox, you're just not used to hearing it so it SOUNDS off beat but his the lyrics still stay within the rhythm of the beat, lmao. If he rhymed off beat the muzik would clash. AZ and Half sound nor rhyme nothing alike. Bruh you don't have a talented ear, just get over it!

  20. V.... T....

Nas!! Gadamn it God son... Nas pockets is like a pop quiz... Witty nigga. Always dope

  21. A.... M....

Nas is a very intelligent Rapper the way he constructs his verses its unreal, his choices of words, usages of words are versatile and complex, not many rappers in this game are conscious enough to capture your imagination without talking about money, killing , hoes and drugs. People always think rappers rapping fast or use great word play automatically makes them the best in the game, but they don't listen to what that artist is saying while incorporating the attributes of rap skills, they could be talking shiberish, whats the message, can you relate, does it make you think? while your nodding your head and tapping your feet. Nas is amongst the best of all time :)

    A.... M....

one of the best summaries on a YouTube comment I've seen. Nas is a complete artist, he's held it down for nealry 25 years, even pre Illmatic his visionary was legendary! spot on about the industry and the hollow stans

    A.... M....

    Americo Mabu I agree 100%

    A.... M....

Americo Mabu He did talk about killing "I kill all you fucks easy"

    A.... M....

    That Line Was Hard

  24. M.... L....

    M.... L....

Marcus Lee Well he is God’s Son

  25. T.... N....

    That Nas verse.
    (-_-)
    Where do you even start?
    Brilliant

  26. E.... ....

wtf Nas' verse is dope as fuck. But for some reason it doesnt sound like New York. I dont know if its because of the beat but it just doesnt feel like new york. Whatever still dope af and my favorite rapper.

    E.... ....

+foreverflylove People always write dumb shit down that has nothing to do with the current issue

    E.... ....

@FlyingPenguinBanana my nigga how does this song not sound like new york with nas on it, where did you get that shit from, do you even know the history of rap it came from new york, all the shit you hear is a spin on shit thats been done already so how can it not sound like new york, you probably don't even realize the south got their sound from afrika bambata, the west took their shit from whodini, none of this shit is new....thats why you sound like your whining

    E.... ....

@foreverflylove Let me ask you this though before we continue on with this pointless conversation with your tiny mind. How was my comment in any way shape or form a complaint.

    E.... ....

@foreverflylove Oh the fucking irony. Ask yourself those questions that you just asked. Here I'll just block you so no one else can see your retarded ass fucking comment.

    E.... ....

Corrie Grate wondering the same thing

  27. N.... ....

    I...mean more than he.

  28. T.... G....

    T.... G....

  29. K.... S....

    nas for reAL

  30. G.... ....

I can only imagine what DJ Khaled said to Nas when he heard the verse

    "Nas you smort!
    Nas you loyall
    Nas you a genius"

    G.... ....

lol. ctfu. i can hear that in khaled voice

    G.... ....

  31. 2.... S....

  37. O.... S....

    horrible

  38. O.... S....

"I know some niggas from Astoria that cut ya daughter up like I use to cut a quarter up" nas.....the fuckin best ever

    O.... S....

Omar Scruggs My favourite part !

  39. s.... ....

I don't understand Khaled, Nas had the best songs on three of his albums, I'm On, Victory nd Hip Hop with Face, but he never promoted or shot videos for any of those songs

  40. s.... l....

DJ Khaled ghostwrote this for Nas

  41. T.... ....

the sad thing is that most of khaleds songs on all his albums arent produced by him...like on this album he produced NOT ONE TRACK. even all his big hits

  42. J.... C....

    Nas >>>>>> Everyone else

  43. J.... L....

    I like this song

  44. P.... ....

Like @TheMickeyBlu said, Khaled doesn't produce the tracks on his albums. The Inkredibles produced this track. He hires people to produce the tracks, as well as rappers to rap on them. All he does it take the credit, because he's a talentless leech.

  45. t.... ....

keep practicing this hard Nas Lyrics, 2 times 32 bars! Real 2013 Hiphop!
    I like!

  46. O.... S....

its funny as shit how khaled says Nasir!

  47. O.... S....

    Well Put!

  48. T.... ....

    DJ Khaled doesn't produce unfortunately...

  49. M.... B....

    wow,,, soo good

  50. j.... ....

Nas did this and it sounded effortless. He's just incredible.

  51. M.... H....

can anyone clean this song please

  52. J.... N....

    Say you killin’ Pablo? Impossible,
    Nonsense, preposterous, bizarre at best
    Unfulfilled promises

  53. K.... A....

Yeah, I know that now lol - so in turn, he's back to generally being a dick :P

  54. P.... ....

I'd Listen to this while working at this factory for 18 hours a day,7 days a week. Gotta get that hustler state of mind.

  55. t.... ....

    This some is epic

  56. S.... ....

khaled doesnt make beats, this was made by lee major from the inkredibles, khaled is a dj and yells on tracks

  57. J.... V....

    BJ PENN

  58. P.... ....

Frankly, to say that Tupac or Biggie is better than Nas, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, KRSONE, LL Cool J, Kool G Rap, Eminem, Jay-Z or somebody like the Game is an insult! They're simply not the best, because they died, PERIOD!!!!!

  59. P.... ....

What are you talking about? he has more knowledge than Tupac. Simply put, he is the only rapper that has been in the game twenty years, that people still want to here what he has to say! That firmly surplants him as the G.O.A.T., and that's all thats to it.

  60. s.... w....

    the knowledge of tupac

  61. B.... M....

I don't have a top five MCs list... I call it "The Tops" Those are the rappers that get the most spins :)

  62. P.... ....

Nas is. With his collaborations and unreleased material, he has more hot songs than all of them combined. And he is still relevant to this day.

  63. Q.... 4....

HE DOESNT EVEN MAKE HIS OWN BEATS

  64. P.... ....

inkcredibles made that track not khaled if khaled made a track you would't want to hear it

  65. s.... ....

"...i feel intelligence is my wealth, however how enormous is Nas pockets is a pop quiz to gossipers, see me at the oscars lookin dreamy hood oppulate, means essotoric how i wore it- exoticness.." - if u dont feel that shit go listen to somethin else

  66. E.... ....

    nobody compares to Nas..

  67. d.... ....

He who has begun is 1/2 done... Aight that the fuckin truth

  68. s.... g....

    Bumpin!!!!!!!! I love this shit!!!!

  69. d.... ....

    Damn Nas just bodies everything

  70. M.... X....

no ....... Nas is the GOAT...nuff said

  71. P.... ....

I'll put it to you like this. He has the lyricism of Rakim and Big Daddy Kane, self-educated like KRS One, the word play of Kool G Rap, the political awareness of Chuck D, the storytelling of Slick Rick and the longevity of LL Cool J. Need-I-Say-More?

    P.... ....

    Peekum1 nuff said bro

  72. K.... A....

I undestand that then, makes sense, Rakim, Pac, Nas top three for me - but when you put it the way you do, rakim comes third, its between pac and nas cause pac's ideals, his influence and his music is still pretty relevant, but nas is keeping real hiphop alive

  73. K.... A....

me too lmao, one love :)

  74. K.... A....

Rakim? I dont think even nas would say he's better than the God Emcee :P But I think its a 50/50 in that case - Nas is the realest and illest who still gets attention from the mainstream, but I dunno, he's my favourite emcee along with pac n rakim - but I cant class him as the best ever - there are too many good emcee's in hiphops history to say whos the best!

  75. P.... ....

That's why Rakim is second to only Nas, and no one else.

  76. P.... ....

Nas is hands-down the best to ever do it!!! He's still relevant after all this time, even without Def Jam pushing him.

  77. C.... C....

Rakim is a Don, but I feel as though Nas was the evolution of his style and that Nas was able to stay relevant for a longer period of time. Rakim, took several very long hiatuses in his career. Vinnie Paz, Celph Titled I'm sure are good MC's but I cant name a classic album, a devastating well known feature, or see any way that they influenced Hip Hop culture as a whole. I take those things into consideration when I made my DOA top 5.

  78. K.... A....

Worst part of this is, Im the only guy at my college (im in the uk, im 16) who bumps this shit, all these other fools say "lil wayne and drake are the best rappers" - Im like thank god for kids who appreciate decent music in this generation (not being cocky, hence why I love aotp, jmt, rakim, nas etc) , I feel sorry for the older generation who have to put up with the majority of inconsiderate bastards of my generation!

  79. T.... I....

Yeah man you know it! Paz is an animal.. Goes too hard.

  80. K.... A....

Sooooo good, Vinnie is waaaay to underrated, I reckon he could destroy eminem in a battle!

  81. T.... I....

Yeah it is a sick lyric(even though there should be ten candles)The whole verse is pretty sick.. Paz's verse still kills it in seven. A 40 oz of dutch master is the reciepe, yeah thats my shit that'll be the death of me!

  82. K.... A....

Fair enough, I just love his gritty flow and rhymes like - "and a day before your kids tenth birthday came, you didnt have to light the candle on the cake to see the nine flame" - quality!

  83. T.... I....

Celph tilted? Immortal technique shits better rhymes.

  84. K.... A....

Nas is the lyrical master and he's an EMCEE (theres a damn difference), aint nobody fuck with NY's Finest! Lyrically Nas is one of the best, If you dont think that, get ya head checked

  85. K.... A....

What about Rakim, or Vinnie Paz? Celph Titled? Dope as shit man, and the likes of low-key? Hiphops about lyricism, and the guys I just mentioned are just as good as Nas (maybe not Low-key, needs to be in the game a lot longer)

  86. K.... A....

Nas is the finest emcee alive I think personally aside from Rakim (rakim is the god emcee after all) - and if he makes barely any of his beats, I will go back to my previous line of thought - killing him.

  87. P.... ....

This might be the most lyrical song ive ever heard. The alliteration of P's throughout this whole song is Phenomenal...

  88. C.... C....

Nas is the GOAT, followed by Tupac, Big, Jay-z and Em. Many more great MC's can be named, but that is my top 5 DOA.

  89. U.... ....

NAS IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!! haha jk he's good, but lyrically there are a lot of rappers better than him.

  90. y.... t....

"He who has begone is half done, Why u waitin" -Nas

no word how hard he murdered this beat

  91. K.... A....

Damn, im not a fan of Khaled, but if he makes beats like this, and gets emcee's like nas, maybe even mos def, rakim, kool g rap to make tracks with him - he'll win me over straight away :)

  92. A.... O....

    Relly that ugly
