When i was thinking about suicide seriously n i had my bad times. i couldn't do it cos i rememberd how much Jesus loves me and my parents, my family n friends loves me. And actually during my most darkest moments when i was thinkin about goin hell if i kill myself and i would not get in heaven actually gave me lot's of hope knowin that fact. i was thinkin that how could i repent or make that sin undone if i kil myself n killin is a sin. no matter what happens never do that, always is reason for living and God can open u new opportunities, hope gave me also that this pain is part timely and then it ends n someday i will enter to heaven if i just do God's will and not to give up cos that is very selfish.

Joel, you're a strong man! Keep up strong in the love of Jesus! I also have bad times, but I don't give up of my life for the same reasons that you. We will not lose hope, we will not lose heart. When all we see is fading, we will trust in God. We will fix our eyes in the One who will last forever. We will hold on tight to the Only real treasure! The sun will shine again, no matter how dark your world is. I sometimes want to kill myself but I know now that I have people who care about me, this song makes me think carefully and remember that.

No one should ever commit suicide. No matter how much pain you may be in, no matter how hard things are, everything passes eventually. I'm pretty young. I'm only in my 20s! Yet, I've gone through some pretty intense and dark periods in my life. But trust me, the darkness will pass. Think of your problems like Kidney Stones. They're extremely painful, but they pass eventually. And when they pass, you will feel relief. You will no longer be in pain.

Moreover, I find that Jesus is a source of great strength. I'm convinced that without Him, I wouldn't have been able to overcome the trials that have come towards me in my life. Jesus said "All who are weary and heavy burdened, come to me and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28 God the Father has said "I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint." - Jeremiah 31:25

God will give rest to your soul. He will give you the strength to carry on through your trials. Jesus said "In this world you will have many sorrows, but be confident because I have overcome the world." - John 16:33

What about if the darkness is 13 years old and still continuing?

@Bela Malfoy I may not know what you're going through, but I know someone who went through years of pain and was weary. So she planned to kill herself untill her grandma forced her to go to church and met a man who followed God to reach out to her. She cried herself to sleep and the man said God sees her when she does. That girl is Lacey Sturm. If you don't know her I encourage you to listen to her testimony. In the meantime, I will pray for you.

some times the answer isn't that simple. some people are just physically can't see a good side to things. and that's not just because of some unfortunate events. but because their they are simply mentally ill. depression can an actual physical problem that isn't easy to fix.

Let me also point out that everyone should follow Christianity or another established religion/set of beliefs. Many atheists either change their minds constantly about what they really believe or just don't care. Ponder this: if Christianity is real and you refuse to accept God, you will burn in hell. The truth, whether its disproven scientific theories or an eternal god, is THE truth. You're rejection of the truth doesn't change the truth. If God isn't real, then I would be wasting my time telling you this, but I wouldn't suffer after death.

How do you know there's a heaven and hell you're reading a damn book that could be filled with bullshit like I think it does because people say "God" can perform miracles than why haven't I see it with my own eyes? The way I am is that I need scientific proof that "God" is who people say he/she is I don't believe in heaven or hell I believe we r gonna live on an planet like this with crime and troubles for eternity and not one guy that's sits on his ass on day can or will do about it

We are called to be disciples (Matthew 28:16-20). Anyone who doesn't accept Christ and follow God's laws will suffer for eternity. We want to save others so they can live a new life and live in Heaven one day. In a nutshell, this is why we care about what others believe. At my church, we are taught how to share the gospel in a respectful way so no one is offended or turned off by religious discussions. If we "go along [our] merry way", then we certainly aren't following Christ.

All Christians are guilty of sin, but giving into temptation does not automatically make us hypocrites. I'll try to explain this if you want.

Many people 'go through the motions' every Sunday morning and only turn to God during trials/tribulations, while others try to strengthen their relationship with God every day.

Let me just summarize why I believe there is a God. Science says the universe just happened in less than a second. They can guess on the time and the place that it started  (when and where). But science, and no atheist for that matter, can provide the who and the why. People choose to believe the universe just came to be for no particular reason, and there is no true purpose for our existence. Christianity provides answers. People who disagree with this don't understand what Christianity is.

I prefer to believe in science and math. It is a little more solid and concrete, in that it actually is used around us and is explainable. Besides, I'm an atheist.

I think i found my purpose. Some people i talk to get to know me enough to know i write song lyrics. I think i am supposed to spread Gods word through music. I made some bad mistakes in a relationship and I hated myself because of it. I couldn't bring myself to commit suicide, so instead I prayed that God would take my life, even though I knew he wouldn't. I had this song on my YouTube playlist from a long time ago, because I thought it was catchy, and I happened to stumble upon it again, and REALLY listened to the lyrics. It made me realize that no matter how much I screw up the sun will shine. ♥

I constantly pray for death, suicide is against the rules. This life just isn't worth living when you are not born better. People that everything in life just come naturally, love, good looks, strength, intellect, charisma. I'm not capable of that kind of perfection, so i shouldn't deserve to breath.

Suicide isnt selfish, its finally stepping up and making people realize what they had ignored and rejected. It teaches lessons. I've attempted suicide and I've tried calling for "God" many times. You know what I've got? The responses of my echos. I've been raised christian, and I've never heard God speak to me. God is a way to escape reality. Its foolish.

It takes more than just this song to get a friend of mine back on track. He's suffering from depression and low self-esteem and all that shit. He listens to metal and metalcore and that junk because he recognizes himself in the lyrics. This song won't help him, because the lyrics are just too much about "get up and do something with your life". It won't make him change their minds about anything. So what can I do?

And in most spiritual traditions, even if everyone is going eventually to heaven, there are different stages, or "limbo" so one who commits suicide has still a long way to go,
