Whole Album is GARBAGE!! What happened?? This band use to be awesome the first disciple album and Scars Remain Album was fantastic.. but this new one I can't stand to listen to!

I've been listening to disciple for nearly 4 years now. I know that's not a lot of time compared to people who've been a fan since they became a thing. But it still puts an incredibly deep energy into my heart. Their music doesn't beat around the bush. It hits straight to the heart. From songs like Invisible, Outlaws, Erase, Misery, they've all put such a powerful impact on me, like God is banging on the door to my heart. I'm left with tears each and every time because of how relatable they all are. This album feels like its specifically directed to me. From just wanting sympathy, and being so adamant that I cant change, to taking the world's drugged messages to keep me okay only til the next day, to realizing that I did think I was in control of my addictions, and that I had to lock it up never to be seen again. You guys and your music continues to give me hope that I'll be okay, no matter how bad I think I am, or how worthless, or sinful. Thank you Disciple for you music so much!! You guys make so much more of an impact than you can fathom!! You help people keep on moving, and keep on trusting in God and his plan!! You guys are truly God's chosen Disciples!!

This song is one of my favorites. Saw you all in LA yesterday. WOW Even more amazing live! So humble and freaking rock! Great show! I was fighting not to be sick and made it there anyway, and didn't let it stop me. Better today. I'm the girl that asked for prayer/q&a flat tire story/mom. By the way, a man walked up and thanked me for sharing it after the show. I wonder if I was supposed to share it for him. So excited to have met you all. Hated this song at first, and while I still don't like it that much, mainly because of the lyrics being repetitive and kind of weak, I'm starting to like how it sounds a bit more.

I have a problem with the lyrics. I'm not sure if it's even biblical at all because Paul wrote we're either slaves to darkness or slaves to light. If I cuff the criminal throw myself in prison then what am I living for? A better analogy would be "Jekyll and Hyde" because one I feed will live, the one I starve will die. Cuffing the criminal has nothing to do with growing in to who God intends us to be.

I've never had an issue with lyrics from this band, but I only really discovered them a few months ago. The only thing I question is, it makes it sound like something we can do. Which we all should know, there is nothing we can do.

The criminal is the flesh - the part of us that drives us to sin despite our salvation. "Cuffing" the criminal means holding down the flesh. Genesis 4 talks about the presence of sin and the need to restrain it lest it restrain us. No analogy is 100% perfect but this one is far from problematic.

This is decent. All Disciple is. But I still feel like no matter how good the new stuff and is, it will always pale in comparison to Scars Remain.

No this whole album isn't good how does a band go from Hard Rocking to Poprock?? I stopped listening to to them after.the Scars album.

To be completely transparent, I'm kinda disappointed. I liked the riff after the chorus and I like that it used Drop A tuning, but that's about it. I think it fits in a video game, but that's about it. I've listened to it a few times already and even heard it on the radio (props to you guys for getting it on radio btw), but I just can't get into it. I still support you guys with the release of the new album and am really excited for it, but I felt like it didn't step in the right direction for me. With that aside, I still am looking forward to the release of the new album and I feel like this would be a good song to put in a video game.

Definitely a different sound direction for them. Personally I like it (the subtle dynamics of the drums gets me), but I totally understand if it's not what you were expecting.

disciple tries hard to make albums individual they wont make another one like horseshoes and hand grenades. I love this about them and always here a quality of music unmatched in there genre.
