Dirty Projectors - Just From Chevron Lyrics
Where she collapses into the shore
Pump her like product and ask her for more
There a man lay dying in ice, gasket had busted and
Pinned him like a vice
As the sun sank into repose
"Tell my love don't mourn, too intense
I'm going down to a great good expense
Now the air is quiet and still
Wish I was back home on the knell of the hill
Don't think I won't try
When I close my eyes
Whatever the people will drive,
That's what I will survive
All of my friends, my enemies too
Live in the shadows of the dirtiest fuel
Burns the land and its people to ruin
While wind's always whistling an infinite tune
Don't think I won't try
When I close my eyes
Whatever the people will drive,
That's where I will be alive
Don't think I won't try
When I close my eyes
Whatever the people will drive,
That's where I will be alive
"Now so long," he whispered softly
Closing his eyelids with his face turning grey
When the workers cleaned up the spill
Sent the man home to his knell in the hill

That's a grandpa? I thought it was a blueberry!
I love this song so much, but I laugh every time I hear 1:51.
+Bobbi L I don't so much laugh as shudder with pleasure every time I hear him do that with his voice
I imagined him making the most ungodly face while doing that like he was trying to push out a fat shit
love this one
... your grandpa sort of looks like my grandpa.
the old man on the cover sort of looks like my grandpa.
I like the girl's part a lot more on this song.

I can't understand my obession with this song/DP/music. Can someone help me? I am a musician in a church that plays comtemporary Gospel music. I dig the the sincere hymns, but can't stand the ego driven top 40 style songs. This music is literally a breath of fresh mountain air for me. There is no ego or arrogance, in fact, it is almost in a weird way, sacred. Why do I love this quirky music and hate the "cool stuff" I must play for cool artist?
