I've listened to this song so many times. I've never understood why communique is always rated as DS weakest album. Love the cut back guitar and drums.so easy to chill to. sad.angry.moody. Mark gets more emotion out of a guitar than anyone and takes you to so many places with his songs. It's a shame Pick left the band.

I think I read somewhere that the Communique album as initially seen as not as good at the first album, but I guess the track " Once upon an Time in the west" was included in the Alchemy concert and its popularity grew. Funny the Communique album was my last edition to my collection -I still love owning anf buying CD's ( second hand OpShops have millions of treasures) and often listen to them instead of online stuff - Still the track "Where do you think you're gong" remains for me the signature Dire Straits sound, like I said, If I was to choose one song to play to someone who has never heard Dire Straits in their whole life, it will be this one....or maybe, Sultans of Swing

After struggling with basic chords for almost 1½ Years, I played along to this song. When I tried it the 2nd time, even the lead guitar part was coming along as I strummed. After that, the guitar has been like a constant companion. This song practically changed my life!

The world wouldn't be the same without Mark Knopfler and the Dire Straits. it's sad to realize that there is going to be a day without him. thankfully, we can listen to this brilliant music even after. i have been a fan of the dire straits as long as i can remember and i'm NEVER ever tired of hearing it. This, is music. This, is creativity. This, is having a gift. NO autotune. NO computers. Just a man and his guitar. and indeed, lets not forget, the fantastic combo of the band members including that fantastic drummer. It's sad they aren't together anymore. And as good as Mark is and as fantastic his music, i still prefer the Dire Straits. In his solo albums, you can see Mark's 'yourney' with music and his creative capabilities. But in the Dire Straits, it's absolute perfection. Every. Single. Time.

I just recently purchased all of there albums REMASTERED editions. One of my all time favorite musical groups to ever exist. The Talent of these boys is beyond anything. By the way I still get Music Goose Bumps every time I listen to this track.

Once one of my friend asked me why you always listening the old songs.he is a justin bieber kinda music guy.
i asked him to sit, and i played this song.
during the last guitar part he closed his eyes and i could see he is tightening his grips on the chair, his hands holding tight...
then when the song was over i looked at him and i smiled; but he aint said a single word, nor he replied anything, no smiles nothing...
