Dionne Warwick - Here I Am Lyrics

Here I am, here I'll stay
All of my life we'll be together from now on
I was afraid but now my doubts and fears have gone
Here I am and here I'll always stay

I'll be wanting you, needing you
Don't let me go a single day without your love
You'll always be the one thing, I am certain now
Here I am, here I'll always stay

I can't lose you now that I found you
Please keep my arms wander around you forever

Here I am, here I'll stay
All of my life I'll be what you want me to be
All that I ask is that you just keep loving me
Here I am and here I'll always stay

Close to you, in love with you, my dear
Close to you, in love with you, my dear
Close to you

Thank you Ms.Dionne Warwick, we 💘 LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. T.... C....

A beautiful ballad from Dionne. I believe this is from What's New Pussycat.

The first time I heard it was while watching "What's New Pussycat" on one of my first dates in the golden summer of 1965. Can't say the romance lasted very long, but this lovely, underrated DW song does bring back some bittersweet memories after all these years.

  6. N.... B....

The epitome of the musical upgrade that the 1960s brought. So many wonderful songs being written and performed by outstanding artists (Bacharach, David, Warwick). Even that record jacket, with Dionne in that stunning gown.

  7. H.... N....

    One of best songs

How could ANYONE  give this beautiful song a thumbs down??

    t.... ....

I believe it was a group of feminists. They obviously jumped on the line "All of my life I'll be what you want me to be." Paul Anka caught hell from them when he sang "Havin' my Baby." As did Todd Rundgren's "We Gotta Get You a Woman."

    50 years

Oh! Congratulations! And may you have many, many more, together here on Earth. You sound like a soul coupling that will last eternally with Holy Love.

Anna Garber? Your generation places importance on the institution of marriage. The younger generations could learn a thing or two from your generation.

  11. J.... M....

    Just beautiful. ❣️

  12. M.... W....

Beautifully sung, produced and arranged. Bacarach and David in their zenith. Music that will stand the test of time.

  13. g.... ....

A precursor to "The Look of Love"?

  14. C.... ....

Very sentimental song. And a beautiful melody. I give Dionne Warwick a round of applause for such a perfect performance.

Love, Love, Love this ! I don't know why ------------ but it makes me think of Brian Epstein. So, ---- it makes me sad.

Heard this from "What's New, Pussycat?" got attracted to this song then and there and I fell more and more in love with Romy Schneider with every frame she's in.

Wonderful days, the 60s, at least musically, thanks to Burt and friends.

You might like the movie, "What's New, Pussycat?" This song is the background for a touching scene with Woody Allen and Romy Schneider.

+Tom Longhofer Good call. I first saw "What's New, Pussycat?" as a teen in 1974 on broadcast television and always looked forward to watching it again & again. Before videocassettes and DVDs, I wanted to own the film but the only format available was reel-to-reel. Now, it's a treasured part of my DVD collection. In my opinion, it heavily influenced "What's Up, Doc?" by Peter Bogdanovich. Cheers!

Not a big hit but the voice and clarity is beautiful and a beautiful song she's such a stylist and master she treats her voice like an instrument and knows when and where and how to use it

    J.... S....

Was not a big hit because it got no airplay.  Not in Los Angeles anyway.
