Dionne Bromfield - Spinnin' For 2012 Lyrics

[Intro: Dionne Bromfield]
It-It's spinnin' again
It-It's spinnin' again
It-uuh-uuh spinning again

We go for pain and try to shine in the perfect the moment
We let it burn inside knowing the path is golden
See the strain in our eyes, we're gonna do our best
You and me will give it all until nothing is left
We're gonna catch the light and stay alive and feel the love coming from the flame

[Chorus:]
The world keeps spinning,
Changing the lives of people in it
Nobody knows where it will take us
But we hope it gets better, better, better

[Tinchy Stryder:]
We can stand the rain
The clouds, they're all gone
World on my shoulder
Standing so strong
Chase my path with all the clues gone,
Success and I is like a true one
Dropping it out
Or pulling this offload
Negative vibe
We just step forward
Swinging the arrow
We push it forth
Winning's the key
To make us known

The world is spinnin' faster
Day by day gets harder
Oh, I'm a soldier
Fighting till it's over, yeah

[Dionne Bromfield:]
Go when the hope is gone
Just keep it strong
And feel the love
Coming from the flame

[Chorus]
The world keeps spinning,
Changing the lives of people in it
Nobody knows where it will take us
But we hope it gets better, better, better

[Bridge:]
One day I know that,
It will get better
Music is healing
I love the feeling
Today I know that,
It will get better
Music is healing
I love the feeling
One day all people
Will be all equal
Until that day comes,
I'll just be singing my song

[Chorus:]
The world keeps spinning,
Changing the lives of people in it
Nobody knows where it will take us
But we hope it gets better, better, better

The world keeps spinning,
Changing the lives of people in it
Nobody knows where it will take us
But we hope it gets better, better, better

[Outro:]
As the world spins
We'll keep trying
If we hold tight
We'll keep shining
As the world spins
We'll keep trying
If we hold tight
We'll keep shining

  16. T.... N....

    Wow! Fabulous song Ever!

  17. E.... D....

    Great! Excited for London 2012!

It's just the TORCH RELAY SONG of London 2012 and NOT the OFFICIAL SONG for the LONDON 2012 OLYMPICS!

I think those people who are not reading captions are the ones who need a slap in their faces.

  18. W.... ....

You cant be serious that this is an official song for the olympics.

Trying to make the UK seem like a bunch of tasteless idiots?

Whoever comissioned this really needs to be slapped in the face.

  19. S.... ....

    why so many dislikes??

  20. D.... T....

Amazing song! Make the world proud of London and England!

  21. k.... ....

I think some of you need too recognise diversity and the youth. If you listen to what what they were taking about in the olympic bid you'll recognise that that was what it was all about. This IS British because this is where we're at now........ I'm just saying!

  22. p.... ....

@JPRizal2000 Britain has a huge rap scene. Fair enough, this song is a terrible example of it but get rid of your old school, daily mail bullshit. I would hate to know you.

  23. s.... ....

London is a modern multicultural city & this song reflects that, if you don't like those facts then don't come here. Stay at home listening to music by old dinosaurs who haven't had a hit in years, reminiscing about the good old days of an all white Britain.

  24. s.... ....

anything with tinchy gets a dislike from me

  25. J.... L....

    God awfull

  26. I.... ....

I wonder how many grants weren't given out to genuine creative projects, jobs were lost etc so that this could be commissioned. Its almost as bad as the logo.

  27. n.... ....

@JPRizal2000 It is rap made by British artists. If you think rap in unsuitable because of it's black American roots then Paul Mccartney is also unsuitable as Rock'n'Roll was started by black musicians in America, just like rap.
Besides which this crap isn't even the official olympic song. The official olympic song will most likely be some turd class duet between old rockers who should've died years ago.

  28. O.... ....

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! I don't want to hear this song again!!! Maybe the very young like it??

  29. W.... V....

is it a olympic promotion song or an ad for BMW???

  30. m.... ....

could be worse I suppose - see the mascots song/video

  31. S.... ....

    @amousedidrun She's 16

  32. s.... ....

superb in all respect.... amazingly wonderful... can i use the sound track for a video??

  33. A.... W....

I love this song! I'm so proud London has the courage to be a modern games. Her voice is great, Tinchy gives it a great twist and although there are a lot of negative comments the like button says otherwise!

  34. N.... S....

How disappointing. Having been listening to Dionne's album today on Spotify, I expected something along the same vein, but this is pure pop rubbish, I'm sorry. Her album is beautifully soulful, with a maturity way beyond her years; and Tinchy's material is usually so catchy. Who wrote this? You should be ashamed - these 2 artists have great potential and are capable of a song far better than this drivel.

  35. a.... ....

    How old is Dionne Bromfield?

  36. L.... J....

Love this song, Hitting the replay button! Love it.

  37. C.... W....

this has got no.1 witen on it

  38. b.... ....

Interesting, lyrics a little messy in the middle. Really like how it pulled together at the end

  39. O.... ....

    I don't like it!!

  40. C.... B....

Its pretty good! ..... doesn't compare to Canada's 2010 "I believe" song tho

  41. C.... H....

Did you really have to do a really bad rap song? The Beijing transfer song was 100x better.

  42. J.... P....

    awesome :)

  43. J.... C....

    You have to be kidding...
Try instead the epic Athens 2004 "Pass the Flame" and the emotional Vancouver 2010 "I believe",

  44. K.... G....

While the song is pleasant (another word for "nice" or "beige"), what does that say about the 2012 Torch Relay? Nothing. Maybe I'm not the target demographic... who is? I wish Dionne & Tinchy well, but are they the "faces" of the UK? Is this feel-good pop, or just another bland, do it by the numbers. written by committee piece of trite blandishment? Seriously, who is going to buy this? Does it leave you with a warm glow, make you proud? I think not.

  45. T.... ....

    Quite like this :)

  46. C.... W....

this has got no.1 witen all over it

  47. C.... W....

i love this song:) igot to sare this song with my frends.
