Dion - In And Out Of The Shadows Lyrics
In and out of the shadows, at the highway of mistakes
When you get down, you get down to nowhere
You pay your respects to higher stakes
In and out of the shadows fake a smile and don't complain
That you see in vain, that you see in vain
Oh that scream in the middle of a dream
Tell me what does it mean for you or anybody
In and out of the shadows, baby, you ain't gonna fold
Even though somebody came and told you
The world has long been bought and sold
Bought and sold
Tell me what does it mean for you or anybody
In and out of the shadows, there ain't no place you can hide
But you can try, try to be humble, people, in your pride
Deep inside, deep inside

Great song...Produced by the amazing Phil Spector!
great song di
never heard this before.dont it remind you of born to be with you.from dion and spector.
Wow! Why have I never in the whole of my life ever heard this? (Obviously not listened to enough Phil Spector). This will be played to death now, naturally.
Yep, that was pretty much my reaction too. :)
@TheDivine MrM And mine.
Spector "re-used" this music on Leonard Cohen's "True Love Leaves No Traces."
And dammit here I am again
I measure happiness by my ability to not have to listen to this song
The production work Mr. Spector did with these two artists is truly beautiful. I know that Mr. Cohen's said Mr. Spector 'ruined' Death Of A Ladies Man, but, I (not a fan if Mr. Cohens, and as such more an outsider who had little of his other works to compare it with) loved it. As for Born To Be With You - a masterpiece. And even Dion loves it - then & now.
Phil drove dion nuts. But was worth it
@lyonslaforet: true (what you said about this album & Leonard Cohen's album with Phillip). This period - Mr. Spector's late '70's work - has been called the 'dirge of sound,' as some people think ALL if his output was slow-tempo. Some was - but, not all. Besides
This is new to me, but what a great song!
This album reminds me a lot of Death Of A Ladies' Man (1977) by Leonard Cohen because of the production by Phil Spector and the murky atmosphere!
I can't believe this only has 300 views! Its should have at least 100,000
Just how f*cking great is this song?!
