O baixinho era realmente um deus

very different album from what Ronnie usually delivered... but I loved it since its release. Saw the tour in Montreal (Malmsteen was the opening act Eclipse album), and til today, its an album that is played on a regular basis. One of those albums you play front t back because its got so many nuances. Rowan's playing was top notch on this record, only wish we got to see him a little more in the Dio camp.

My God, what we lost when he died. I remember hearing this song, and as a VERY serious Dio fan I took it serious, I took it as he wanted out of the rock biz. He did stay out for 3 years and then came back with Sabbath, I really wonder if he would have care'd to come back if the Sabbath deal wasn't on the table. All the people he was involved with, all the people that fucked him over, he really had a backbone of titanium, it never broke, and he was always true to us. We so fucking miss you you Ronnie, in heavy metal bliss my icon.

Ronnie James Dio is still very beloved but I feel that a lot of the Dio records are underrated. Fans love them offcourse.. But it should really reach a wider audience. So many underrated gems on most records!

Saddly, this is truth for most of music, unregarding the genre, people kinda preffers whatever is throwed at then and i think, because of that is so refreshing finding something with so quality as DIO music, he talks with my feelings, my own ME, and living in a world so cold as ours that's makes these moments specials.

From what I see the "mass" only concentrates on Heaven and Hell and the first three solo Albums of Dio, which is.. sad. The other albums (and the 1990s Albums as well as I consider 'Strange Highways' as my personal favorite Album with Ronnie) provide so many gems.

Yep. It's not so much a reference to the songs themselves but more so a reference to his times in the bands Rainbow and Black Sabbath. Lock Up the Wolves is personally my favorite Dio album. The track 'Born on the Sun' is also an awesome song, both with great lyrics and composition.

I consider this Album as the best Hard Rock album ever made in the 20' Century by the Legendary singer Ronnie James Dio. The second one is Heaven And Hell by Black Sabbath! That is my humble opinion!
