It's amazing, even to this day how people waste so much time having a pissing contest as to WHO's the best metal drummer or what band is above the rest. Instead of fighting amongst each other, WE metal-heads should be uniting as ONE against pop culture, selling out, etc. It honestly doesn't matter what genre of metal you listen to. The point is no matter what country you go to, metal fans will ALWAYS have something in common...our passion for metal, and that is what separate US from them.

awesome. dimmy at their best indeed! my favorite album are enthrone darkness triumphant. shagrat voice should go back to this, instead of nowadays, he sounds like popeye the sailor.

Tjodalv and his "compassed ride", Astennu's infinite headbanging, Nagash's introspective playing... awesome! When melodic black metal still produced good stuffs , in times before monetary success.

No Stormblåst or Stormblast from 1998.. this was the last album witch they wrote all the songs in norweigan. later on they started to write songs in english.

The way i understand it, and the way our vocalist (who is a growler) and my brother (who used to growl before), is that you kinda blow air up from your stomach or something, hard to explain, but the really important thing is to not fuck around with your vocal bond. Because if you twist it to much you can ruin your voice forever.

@xissburg Dont know exactly.. to be honest.. but the way i did it first times it was wrong.. which is like.. whispering.. but then louder.. so u make a grunt/growl I dont know how to explain how to growl the good way cause there are some hard words in it which i dont really know to translate in english.

Current Dimmu is really good too, but much more symphonic, yet the songs are fucking powerful and complex, full of awesome details. Personally, the only thing that sux now is Shag voice, which will never be like this ^ again :Þ

He have fucked it up over time. on tours for example, he didnt do much to preserve is voice so it gradualy turned worse.

I guess I like the vocals here better than the studio version "They are like with pain in a neck, so heavy", but dislike the fact, that here keyboard is almost inaudible, like in a re-mastered version of Stormblast.
