Dillinger Escape Plan, The - The Mullet Burden Lyrics
Such worthless crust and crazed
Now cring to slap the wrist
I sense you cracked and weak
The nonexistent won't care
When you fail to wake
I wonder if you would
I wonder if you could
Please just a small taste
Of the offer unrefused
Bonded by a muddy crippled story
And now I wonder if you really ever could
You're no good
Self-sodomize once more
Whore
Slut
A reckless mangled conscience
With only the imbalance of evils
Wait for guidance
End it all now

Dillinger Escape Plan, The The Mullet Burden Comments
oh weird I thought I had this album but the one I have is just called "dillenger escape plan" on now or never records. It says to send matt beckerman 7$ for a copy.. so uh find him and get a copy I guess
My head exploded at :14 seconds in. Then I picked it up the pieces and put it back together, then repeated.
I'M PRETTY SURE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN THIS ENTIRE REALITY OF SPACE AND TIME HITS HARDER THAN 0:14
1:37 is that motherfucker actually floor punching to this tune?
The first dep song I ever heard
Crazy Mathcore!
1:33 to 1:40 set to 2x speed is quite something.
Si esto no es del diablo,no sé qué lo sea.
De genios.
Fuck Yeah. Kyle Stockman
dillinger escape plan was a band defined by their raw intensity that never could have made a second album that would have been anything but redundant. most people are going to see whichever album they heard first from the band as their most definitive but the noobs on every vid arguing that the later stuff is better because greg is a more diverse vocalist are missing the point by so far it's laughable.
I heard Calculating Infinity first and I don’t think that’s their most definitive lol
It’s hell good tho
when I heard this song the first time, I immediately connected the dots, Job for a Cowboy are an extreme try-hard Dillinger, they even have 4 syllables (4 words or however you say that) in their name XD that one popular song of theirs has practically the same scream thing before the breakdown, pathetic. Dillinger trump's them easily XD
kai brainard uh. no lol job for a cowboy doesn't sound remotely close to dillinger's old stuff lmao. a good comparison would be maybe ion dissonance, or the number twelve looks like you lol
+ An Asle Ate Her
Dude Pantera is just an Alphaville ripoff. Even got 3 syllables
Everyone went crazy when they played this song in Cardiff this week... it was the first time they'd played it on this tour and no one expected it!
Probably one of their best songs. LOVE this shit. Even the clownriff at 1:40 :)
i agree, if theres a song that represents DEP best it would be this. this describes the world we live in right now pretty goodXD play that every time the news comes on hahah..
This band is awesome!
video and music sent to you in the 90s. always been interested in what influenced Ben as a composer.
25 people have a mullet
0:40 wen u see a spider
I can understand old school dep fans not liking Ire Works, even if it had good tracks all the electro filler ruined it.
But what's wrong with Miss Machine? It has a lot of the calculating infinty style brutality, coupled with some heart felt melodies. This question is specifically to those lost in the Dimitri days who may I add is still very close to the band and I'm sure lives what they've done with themselves.
connor Leason Harcott I really like/love their whole discog.
I love the electronic stuff on Ire Works. I think it helps the flow and pacing of the album a lot by adding some odd twists here and there. Miss Machine is fuckin FIRE, too.
really I don't even think about the more electronic pars of ire works.
Miss Machine I feel like is pretty overlooked disappointingly so, it’s probably my favorite DEP album
Ahh, this video made me sleepy. Time to . . . Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
When I come back home from the local Superstore, I have to play this for some reason or I feel sick...
best comment i have read
if you think about it, this band doesn't exist anymore.
+Justin Widle well, I guess. But, Dimitri left after only one full length album, it's not like they were in the middle of their careers, so since he left earlier it's not as big of a deal. AND, there is one original member left, the band truly wouldn't exist if Ben left. A good comparison would be Sepultura, Max and Igor left the band in the middle of the band's prime, and they don't have any original members. That's a band that is truly non existent
@Kyle Benson I was being technical, but you *are* right.
Dead on. Greg (Liam too) has been a part of this band for so long and contributed so much to it, that in my mind he's far more important than Dimitri ever was. Dimitri's vocals were really one dimensional, too, and I think things would've gotten stale fast had he stayed.
well, now it *actually* doesn't exist anymore.
@NoGoodScreenamesLeft I wish more people understood like you. Greg is so varied. He can sing and scream and everything in between. Dimitri couldn't tour even another full length. He survived one.
Fuckin' great. Their new stuff is great too, in a different way. Some people seem to struggle with that distinction.
@William Cox I have difficulties to appreciate old dillinger stuff... I love their newer songs like when i lost my bet, farewell mona lisa, alot of songs in option paralysis and one of us is the killer, and ire works
In calculating infinity i just love 43% burnt
Dhieen old stuff is more technical, dissonant and less melodic, takes more listens to go in... I can't believe you don't like sugar coated sour though - that was an instant classic for me, makes me mosh harder than almost any song - I find learning the lyrics of Calculating helps, since they're full of vitriol and really help to accompany and set the mood of the music and since you can't really understand them by ear lol
Fucking High School all over again.
I miss Dimitri singing!
yeah, this is what its supposed to sound. that is why i stopped listen to dillinger as soon as they got that 3 feet muscle mongo on board..sad
It was the singers choice to leave. So why are you mad that they kept it going?
total fuckin' chaos
fucking horrible! wish they compose more songs like "one of us is the killer" or "nothing´s funny"
You should rename yourself to "fuccboii21"
This was before even their first album. So don't worry, lol.
Obvious troll
old dillinger rules
A dose of delicious math metal in the morning! Love this EP.
That must have been the fullest one minute and 54 minutes of music that I've ever received the pleasure of listening to in all of my life.
I know, I know :(
RIP a Textbook Tragedy, another fucking great mathcore band.
Guys i havta confess something: Dimitri is WAAAAY blasting than Greg.
Yeahh it seems like they are trying way to hard to me concidered "metal" They arent really all that good
It might just be my opinion, but i don't think that any of those songs are as "confusing" or hard to figure out as pretty much any of DEP's songs, and I like all of those bands. I like DEP better though.
Have you tried anything by the supergroup Fantomas?
So, i heard you like Djent.
I like the new vocalist more weird eh
FUCK I LOVE THIS
HAHAHA! I so fucking love this song!
I really like Ire Works, haha and although they lost some of their sound with Option Paralysis, it's far and away their best from a musical standpoint and it showcases more of their songwriting talent than previous efforts, imo
I take it you don't like Djent?
I think Option Paralysis is definitely their worst album, but its still pretty fucking good
dimitri is a fucking beast
DEP's music was so much better at their beginning. Raw, violent, technical. Now it's some bs emo crap for angry teenagers.
Read the lyrics and tell me what this is
ESTE TEMA SI QUE SON LOS VERDADEROS TDEP!!!Xd
@DeadManSinging1 its alright bro
@ReyCarmesi97 Oh I thought you were calling him a wannabe and saying "Go listen to mastodon" Sorry
@DeadManSinging1 i know you scumbag ,i love mastodon i just say the songs he has uploaded are very mastodon-ish
@ReyCarmesi97 Fuck you Mastodon are awesome
@AktionF1413 I'm not saying they aren't sill uncompromising, but when you compare albums OP is clearly more listenable for someone who probably doesn't listen to this stuff.
@AktionF1413 How are they not toning down when they got songs like Widower now? Which I believe SHOULD be on the radio, then maybe people could experience some real music for a change.
@AktionF1413 Yea they are still sick! Way crazier than most band's out there!
@SilhouetteJudas you got a point. those are sweet songs!
@Broomer88 Hey man, graphic design's pretty sick. :p And he was featured on "Fix Your Face" and did the art for Option Paralysis.
@drumaddict30 Since when did they get, "radio friendly" You're mixing up "radio friendly" with experimenting. Have you heard Farewell, Mona Lisa? Widower?
I miss this stuff! So Lame Dillinger had to start getting all radio friendly. I hate when band's get worse each album like Korn,System of a down,Tool, white stripes, OZZY and the worst offender of all METALLICA! I still Love the early stuff though!
Brings back so many memories... particularly melting the minds of my friends who were discovering Slipknot. This still owns.
@necrocoprophilia Not a fan.
@necrocoprophilia Naw. I just like music. You seem to shun it because it's too mainstream or something.
@necrocoprophilia Ok, looking at your channel, I now know you are a giant hipster douchebag.
@necrocoprophilia This Town Needs Guns - 26 is Dancier than 4. But I don't really know. :P
Maybe something by Between the Buried and Me.
@landerssd
i take that back i didnt read the comments above you, surprising not many people know those artists. you guys should check out botch if you like dep
@landerssd
not trying to be an ahole but im pretty sure most of us who are looking up early dep know and appreciate these bands.
@TheFamiliarSound They didnt start playing different and they didnt change, all the original band members have left the band.
LOL Love the guy floor punching at 1:36
I hope dillinger and rolo tomassi tour again in the uk
@landerssd thanks man, can't check them out right now but I totally will. I know those bands and they are pretty awesome.
@ubergypsy89 if you love math rock timings listen to Animals As Leaders - CAFO
listen to Meshuggah - Straws Pulled At Random
listen to Veil of Maya - Martyrs and Unbreakable(the last riff is GENIUS)
listen to After the Burial - Aspiration

@CoverDrummer94 if THIS confuses you listen to Animals As Leaders - CAFO
listen to Meshuggah - Straws Pulled At Random
listen to Veil of Maya - Martyrs
listen to After the Burial - Aspiration
BRAVO! D.E.P rules all!
I'm a drummer and i totally loe math rock timeings so this is like the greatest this ever
@tweekedoutrabbit Everyone should also smoke weed, that way DEP would sound like HOLY FUCKING SHIT I JUST JIZZED SUGAR RAINBOWS BUTTERFLIES WHAT THE FUCK!
I would be proud.
The audience looks somewhat shocked
This was the start of something beautifull.
Fuck yeah!!
Everyone should listen to Dillinger
why do old school metal heads hate this band?
it's cool
Mathcore/Jazzcore rocks:)
This is awesome...I may have jizzed
@HobbzzDude Im aware of this mate, I didn't say newest I just said newer.
@Itsbloodforsure Calculating Infinity is their first album. Option Paralysis is their newest.
@theguitarhero333 Check out some of their newer stuff then. Calculating Infinity and Ire Works really show the bands growth. Bit more melodic in parts.
I told someone that I love Crossover/Thrash and they said that I'd love DEP.
I am indifferent to this band. I mean, hardcore is good but, if there is next to no ryhme, reason or beat then it might as well be smacking drums and screaming gibberish.
I dislike mullets also.
gawd this is nice :)
listening to Dillinger is like tripping up the stairs
@ffdff Negative, Greg Puciato is now lead vocals. He's not bad, I just really miss the murder like screams of Dimitri :)
@notdennis I think he's the one in the brown shirt
DEP fucking rules. Dimitri, fuck graphic design, get back behind the mic, seriously.
this song just makes me want to go into spasms, but that's probably what they want you to do.
@am5395
AMON AMARTH.
@straightXjessedge i think its lame all these bands now are tuning to B and A
some of the best bands/songs ever are in normal and D tuning
@HARIETTUBGIRL epic name
the dillinger escape plan vs anaal nathrakh
That's just fucking great!
Awe...fuckin'...some music creators!
Nice video
