Diana Ross - Have Fun (Again) Lyrics

Hey, everybody
Have fun again
I want you to have fun
Have fun again
I want you to have fun

Just like little children
Like the little children
Know how they have fun
Just like little children
Like the little children
Know how they have fun

Meanwhile back at the ranch
You're unhappy, now here's your chance
Don't you let the pressure appear
Make your lifestyle hectic all year

Have fun again
I want you to have fun
Have fun again
I want you to have fun

Just like little children
Like the little children
Know how they have fun
Just like little children
Like the little children
Know how they have fun

Money won't be enough
When the going gets tough, it's rough
Try to cuddle with your business
And you'll see that love is priceless
If you don't believe what I say
Just experiment one day
I think that you will agree
That we need some kind of relief
Relif, relief

Have fun again
I want you to have fun
Have fun again
I want you to have fun

Just like little children
Like the little children
Know how they have fun
Just like little children
Like the little children
Know how they have fun

Have fun again
Have fun
Have fun again
I want you to have fun
Just like little children
Like the little children
Know how they have fun
Just like little children
Like the little children
Know how they have fun

Money won't be enough
When the going gets tough, it's rough
Try to cuddle with your business
And you'll see that love is priceless
If you don't believe what I say
Then experiment one day
I think that you will agree
That we need some kind of relief

Have fun, have fun
Have fun again
I want you to have fun
I want you to have fun again
Have fun
Fun, fun, fun, fun
Have fun
Have fun

Have fun, have fun, have fun
Have fun, have fun, have fun
Have fun, have fun, have fun
Have fun, have fun, have fun

Have fun, have fun
Have fun again
I want you to have fun
Fun, fun, fun, fun
Have fun

Have fun, have fun, have fun
Have fun, have fun, have fun
Have fun, have fun, have fun
Have fun, have fun, have fun

'Hey Everybody!!!'.... Sounds like when Michael used to imitate your speaking voice Ms. Ross....😁

  10. dtrn254

So much love !!! And fun....reminds me of my childhood.

  11. dtrn254

    Classic...makes me smile

  12. something for the people Israel shslom

This was and is one of my feel good songs . it always reminds me to let go of all problems and bs ..And just enjoy life

  13. BroccoliQueefed

Nile Rodgers is responsible for the genius you hear here. AFter this he went on to produce Duran Duran , David Bowie and an unknown singer named.....Madonna (Like A Virgin album) :)

    Lee Griffin

And on this particular song, add the Genius of the late great Bernard Edwards.

    Cesar Mendizabal

Touch for the very first time you wish this is my son I hope this son

  14. gerald deyounge

    A magnificent album

  15. george banks

Simply put lady [email protected]'S best album!!!!

  16. Ian Phillips - Author: Music, TV, Films

Such a great, infectious track. I know it was earmarked as the lead-off single from 'diana' at one point; still think this would have been a massive hit single for sure. Love Ms. Ross' vocal here.

  17. Tanya Kelly

This version was no different from the album [email protected]

  18. Kimberly Bivens

This whole album is a classic. This is one of the best album she done!!! love every song

    Chermaine Bigby

Kimberly Bivens damn u Got good taste.

    gmoneyhollywood

Thanks Lee Griffin. I also might add that The EW&F album, "Gratitude" is rated right up there as well, and could have easily best Sade's "Stronger than Pride" CD. I gave Sade a slight nod by millimeters because of her unique Sound and a different flair that she brought to R&B, Jazz, Pop, and Adult Contemporary. There was no sound like hers. However, just Google the playlist off all the songs listed on the Gratitude album. It was merely all Jams on that Great Album by EW&F.

  19. tony tony

I'm coming out..I did in the '80's. This song made me feel like a kid and gay dancing my ass off. Thank you Chic...and Diana Ross.

  20. Speedy Jefferson

I love the break in the middle of the song. When this song was played on the radio the radio stations would say there call letters which was hot...

  21. gmoneyhollywood

This was simply the Joint. It was an underestimated cut arranged by Rogers and Edwards which should have been released as a single. I actually still ride to this Groove. "Have Fun Again" gives it's explanation point when it fades out and comes back on as Part 2.  The" Diana" album is one of my Top 5 Albums  released of all time. I have to put it up there with Micheal's Off the Wall and Thriller, as well as  Stevie's Songs of the Key of Life album, The "Diana" album was superb.

  22. Christopher John

Extended mix?? To be honest it sounds just like the original album version. I recall an album that listed her songs as extended and or dance versions and turned out to be nothing of the sort. They were all original album versions. What did I miss? Nevertheless, HAVE FUN is superb! Thank you.

    MrJuly1990ish

+Christopher Dunn It's not a mix at all, it's actually the original version Chic did in the studio with Diana, before she took it to motown, in which the studio engineers remixed it for the album release. There is a CD (I have it) with the actual Chic original recordings/versions of all the songs, that were not release on the 1980 "Diana" album.

  23. drkanubis

With out a doubt Bernard and Niles where the jimmy jam and terry lewis of that good old school funk.

    Lee Griffin

@drkanubis Since Terry & Jimmy seamlessly began carrying the torch after 'Nard and Nile, one might say that Lewis & Jam were the Edwards & Rodgers of the 80s. ;-)

  24. Reuel Golden

How good is the bass? Bernard R.I.P.

    Lee Griffin

My favorite bass player of all time!

    eternal1blue

@Lee Griffin yes got put Larry Graham, Boosie,Verdine White up there.

    Lee Griffin

@eternal1blue Larry Graham and Bootsy are definitely in the conversation. Verdine has never been one of my favorites.
Now that I think about it, Stanley Clarke beats them all.

    Mlh

    Reuel Golden He was awesome

    Lee Griffin

    @Mlh Fo Sho

  25. Florian MAILLET de Viti

Everytime I go to Disneyland I put this song in the car :) !

  26. underablackgaze

This was my cut. That ending I could play over and over. Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers could make a groove.

    Lee Griffin

And Tony Thompson on drums completed the song's trinity

  27. Raul Kurt

RW remember our Love in 1980 we were hot, we had the whole town talking, Thanks Miss Ross For the memories. Your Music is the Soundtrack to My Life. I got a Love for every song.

    Kurt Evans

  28. CD Galore

@TWTR4EVER you are so wrong in so many ways.

  29. R Walker

It makes you feel happy! I just kept playing it over and over again!

  30. jhillz1

Awesome LP! Does anyone know if there has been a tribute to Diana & the Supremes? If not i think its been long overdue! They have been major contributors to the industry and helped shape the music landscape. Only asking because i just saw New Edition honored a month ago, but I don't remember the Supremes being honored. I could be wrong.

  31. Keithko007

The "Chic Organization" Way ahead of their time!

  32. anthony savarese

What did she do that was shady? a mogul falling in love with his protege is nothing new... or shady

    BroccoliQueefed

Silly people always use that as a trump card as to why she became so successful, which is ridiculous. If there was nothing to keep Diana "in the room", she would have been dropped after the first hit. She made hits for at least 20 years. And her concerts were longer lasting hits than that.

  33. Raul Kurt

This song reminds me of one of my greatest Loves RW, thinking about you. Thanks Miss Ross.

    Kurt Evans

  34. seereeuss

I find this song to be quite an inspired masterpiece - both vocally and instrumentally! This is really good creativity and execution. Really, this sounds angelic!

  35. MyTMARhAR

Love her or hate, you still have to agree she was talented w/ a beautiful set of pipes--there are a few things she has done that were kind of shady, but who am I to judge...I still listen to her music !!!!

  36. champo36

    OK Nice!!!!!!!!!

  37. AndreMSmith1

This album was the start of me falling in love with Diana Ross..

    gmoneyhollywood

AndreMSmith1 Me to😁. Although I liked her a lot around the Boss CD but I start really loving her off this Diana CD. Excellent all around.

  38. TWTR4EVER

@musicmsl But then you're not me, thank God!
"Riddle with holes" without a doubt is the resume of such Diane Ross, personally & professionally the woman is a train reck of deception, manipulation and opportunistic debauchery!

  39. musicmsl

@TWTR4EVER If I were you i would hold Madonna's track record for misdeeds up beside this love and light you seem to be lookin through...you will find it riddled with holes

  40. musicmsl

@TWTR4EVER I'm gonna take a wild guess that I am older than you and the fact that Im in the music business give me carte blanche to let you have it for this tripe you put up! Diana (real name Diane) knew who she was by age five I suspect...different out of the womb that housed five..spotted and push by her mentor Berry Gordy...during the toughest time for entertainer...ESPECIALLY WOMEN OF COLOR..I suggest you find one person, male for female that has made and maintains integrity

  41. Maatization

I've been playing this cd for the first time in years and it holds up 30 years later This song still sounds modern. Miss Ross killed it on this album and used it to launch her career to the next level. Goddess.

    Lee Griffin

With just a "teeny tiny" bit of help from Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers ;-)

  42. Lyra74

I never thought I would hear this, thanks forever.

  43. Sarah Brady

i just love this song :)

  44. airjor1

    @TWTR4EVER Good point!

  45. TWTR4EVER

@airjor1 A book about Diane Ross?
I will leave that to writers. I'm merely a music aficionado who's been following THE SUPREMES since the late 1960's early 1970's cross path with them several times and know the saga way beyond the manufactured marketing & publicity apparatus that feed the masses its requirements for consumption!
I have a life, this is part of it and when ever you get bored, move on, other will follow!

  46. airjor1

@TWTR4EVER Maybe you should write a book and then move on with life.

    Bobby Brown

Lol , Diana has always been know as difficult no biggie comes with the territory and she is a human being no one is perfect even the great Beyonce has her moments

  47. TWTR4EVER

@airjor1 I knew & know her mode of operandi quite well!
We cross our path professionally twice!
Her trajectory both personal & professional less than honorable!

  48. wonderboyjoy

@stevenmccants1 and various groupings at that...trio, group with the temptations and choir with we are the world. she has dueted with many famous people.she has had hits somewhere in the world in the 60's, 70's 80's, 90's and 2000's. let's see what this decade brings as well. Diana is an even bigger survivor than mary because mary never got bashed by the public like diana has had to endure over the years. diana haters need to let it go now...their work has been done and diana is still here.

  49. airjor1

@TWTR4EVER You must have knew her pretty well?

  50. TWTR4EVER

@stevenmccants1 As an artist Diane betrayed herself, her family & her public when she embarked on her rampage to gain SUPERSTARDOM! One thing you don't leave behind on your "climb to the top" is INTEGRITY & ETHICS and those qualities she either never had or conveniently never bother to implement but like the footprint of our lives will follow us along the way her brilliant artistry is been outshine by all the bad deeds and short cuts she implemented on the journey that's catching up with her!

  51. SM DPR Productions

@TWTR4EVER ......It definitely sounds as if you have a particular DISLIKE for Ms. Ross....and your opinion is valid..........As someone who is part of the industry....I was hoping to have a discussion with you without the bashing...Apparently that will not happen, nor with giving you some facts about Diana Ross as an artist. So on that note.....Open up your mind and let some sunshine in.....because it is clouding your judgement....This is a great example of your personal opinion vs. the facts.

  52. TWTR4EVER

@stevenmccants1 Diane Ross and her DELUSIONS OF GRANDEUR supported blindly by her GLITZY FAKE MIRAGE followers was part of group,(THE SUPREMES later created by her lover Motown/Berry Gordy a CHARDE THAT CAME TO BE KNOWN as Diane Ross & THE SUPREMES) the records achieved by being part of an ensemble will never BELONG TO HER ALONE NOR BE PART OF HER ACHIEVEMENTS AS A SOLO, so regardless of what Google (giggle) says IS INCORRECT and for you who CLAIM TO BE PART OF THE INDUSTRY IGNORANT AT BEST!

  53. TWTR4EVER

@stevenmccants1 Here IGNORANCE is on your side!
THE SUPREMES (7#1 HITS) as they are inducted at THE ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM and not THE CHARADE of Diane Ross & The Supremes (5#1 HITS) none of this BELONG TO Diane Ross alone, SHE WILL NEVER BE CREDITED FOR THEM, that GIVES her with the dismal record SHE OWNS, record that together with her well earned reputation of BACKSTABBING, CONNING DECEIT to THE SUPREMES and PERSONALLY we can add ADULTERESS will continue to allude SOLO INDUCTION!

  54. SM DPR Productions

@TWTR4EVER The sad part is you don't know what you are talking about....Diana Ross is the Queen Of Popular Music because she is the only artist too have number one hits: As part of a group, a solo artist and duet.....she has a total of 18 number one hits.................Know your facts before you speak...if you are not sure of this information look it up on google......

  55. TWTR4EVER

    REALITY CHECK HERE!
DIANE ROSS IS "THE QUEEN OF DECEIT"!
She's not The Queen of Pop for sure, look at the numbers!
    Diane Ross (solo)= 5 # 1 HITS 1969/2011!
    Madonna= 12 #1 HITS 1982/20111
    Whitney Houston= 11 # 1 HITS 1984/2011!
    Mariah Carey= 17# 1 HITS 1990/2010!
    THE SUPREMES= 12 # 1 HITS 1964/1969 (5 YEARS) OUTSTANDING!
    THE SUPREMES= 5 # 1 HITS 1964/1966 (18 MONTH) UNMATCHED!
Diane Ross as a "solo" is a "FAILURE TO LAUNCH" sex for stardom Berry Gordy experiment!

  56. Shaolin325

@gva0917 YOU SOUND JUST LIKE ME!!!! I can not resist a swing! I'm not going to say how old I am, but trust when I say I'm VERY grown : - ). And yes, I still swing when I come across one!!!! It's a beautiful thing : - )

  57. eponnee

    perfect !

  58. ron wright

I have nothing less than fun when I listen to my diva Diana Ross.

  59. Frederck Smith

@wonderboyjoy Yep..and Funky as it wants to be!

  60. wonderboyjoy

@kiddfunknyc it is a great album that still sounds good.

  61. Frederck Smith

@wonderboyjoy Well I just learned something. Thanks for the info. However both Nile and Benard (their words not mine) did have an issue with Diana about this album. Media beat down set aside. They both were pissed for awhile. It is a piece of music genius though no matter what.

  62. wonderboyjoy

@kiddfunknyc both individually worked with diana...nile on workin overtime and bernard on telephone. diana, a few years back, was named a as patron...or something similar .....for niles hiv/aids charity. it is great that the album diana was released with the original mix a few years ago.

  63. Frederck Smith

@wonderboyjoy OK...Can you give me the name of the album/project?

  64. wonderboyjoy

@kiddfunknyc but they both did work with her again...i think that wa a media beat up.

  65. Mike Sheng

30 yrs ago.WOW! seems like yesterday.

  66. Frederck Smith

This album would have been awesome to another degree if she hadn't taken the master to Motown engineers and remixed it on her own without Nile or Benard's knowledge. They said they would never work with her again.

  67. Darren Jenkins

I was a senior in high school when this came out. It didn't get a lot of play on the radio, but in the streets everyone knew this song.

  68. Supa Kent

One of my favorites by Diana Ross!!!!!!!!!!

  69. MJDani82

    So have FUN again :))

  70. timmy841212

Funky tune from Miss Ross and CHIC! ;)
