Diamond, Neil - You'll Never Be Anything But Mine Lyrics

Do what you want to do
Say what you want to say
I won't ever, ever stop believing that
You'll never be anything but mine

Tell me there's someone else
Who's gonna share your kiss
I don't care and I know
You'll never be anything but mine

You run around all over town
But it won't be for long
But you'll be back after you've found
That our love's just to strong
Go where you want to go
Do what you want you want to do
I'll be waiting 'cause I know
You'll never be anything but mine

Diamond, Neil You'll Never Be Anything But Mine Comments
  1. S.... D....

I loved their TV show on Saturday mornings (where i lived). Their music was great - much underrated.

  2. D.... K....

I remember their TV show way back when in the mid 1960's. I really did like them and Mickey is still my favorite Monkee.

  3. V.... T....

    Play the Temptations music please.

    V.... T....

Play the Temptations please. Bye until another music days of the 60

  4. .... ....

At 0:56, the drum fill is so good and rhythmical. This song is the best presented by Neil Diamond to the Monkees.

  5. A.... G....

Yes they kept the Beatles out of the number one slot

  6. M.... S....

I was there then and im still here.

  7. G.... S....

I've never even heard from the 'Monkees' version of: 'Western Union.'

  8. G.... S....

I've never heard Peter Tork sing and perform this dirge like unreleased recording: 'Thou Maketh Demands on me.'

  9. D.... ....

every time I hear this song ,im back in 67...

  10. F.... N....

you why this sounds like "Cherry Cherry", because Neil Diamond wrote both songs!

  11. S.... A....

I love Davys voice. I dont know if it's the accent , the youthful boyish innocence but I stop everything & listen to him.

  12. D.... F....

Hood music de mi epoca me remontan a mi juventud..
Ahhh juventud divino tesoro donde amigos y amigas eran de verdad ...!!🕊🕊🕊🕊🌹❤🌺🐳🦈🕊🕊🕊👋👋❤❤❤🥀🌹⚘🌷🌾🌵🌷🌻🌴🍀☘☘☘☘🍃🍂🍃🍃🍃🤟👋🤲🤲🙏

  13. j.... W....

    makes you move

  14. F.... ....

The "what number is this jim?" intro from "Daydream Believer" would have better suited this song.

  15. l.... l....

Thank you zazzaz99. 💗 Thank you The Monkees! 💗

  16. M.... E....

    What a great group.

  17. W.... S....

They were the best of the Beatle imitators and that is meant as a compliment.

  18. S.... S....

I love the comments on Bubble Gum music tunes.

  19. b.... b....

So many memories from this song. One of my all time favorite bands!

  20. J.... P....

  21. V.... R....

This song was the storm just the story when I was first listening to the song in stereo at the dance movements the t .v was on England won the world cup in 1966 it took me 3 hours in petticoat lane plus

  22. W.... P....

My favourite. A great sound and lyrics that illustrate in a simple way the complexities of relationships. Pure genius.

  23. m.... h....

This is a big song, craftsmanship throughout

  24. R.... T....

its got the Neil Diamond sound which is not surprising since he wrote it

    R.... T....

    No shit, Sherlock!!!

  25. J.... W....

    RIP Davy and Peter

  26. .... ....

Davy's voice was so sweet. Most of songs were written by another writers. But the Monkees was the great entertainer.RIP Peter Tork

  27. C.... M....

    Very Neil Diamond

  28. T.... ....

Huge Monkees fan when they were hot here. We had all the LPs and loved the show. They say Neil Diamond played lead acoustic (sure sounds like him!) and sang backup (I think) on this record. I also read that this was the first hit with Davy on lead vocal; "Daydream Believer" (all-time fave Monkee hit!) recorded later but released first. Whatever, the "Prefab Four" were loved by millions of kids like I was and sold millions more to kids like I was. RIP Davy (I loved him) and Peter (underrated). BTW- B-side "The Girl I Knew Somewhere", nice country-ish song, was penned by Mike himself and became Top 40 hit- first by a group member- at...#40! I think the guys liked that better than the hit.

  29. r.... o....

An underrated band, they were better than that, good and nice sounding music, perfect garage band with taste.

  30. N.... B....

    São lindos e muito talento

I have this on a 45 RPM Record since the 60's. Played it hundreds of times. Literally. And the flipside, A girl I knew from somewhere.

  32. E.... T....

First record I ever owned. My mom bought it for me. I was about 8 or 9. Im 61 now, but I remember The Monkees with great fondness. Thanks guys for all the great memories, thank you too mom.

    ;-)) !

  44. C.... T....

The Monkees were a very talented group. Everyone talks about Mike Nesmith and he was great but I mean Mickey Dolenz was just as. All you have to do is watch his performance in the following video to see how gifted he is. How he sings those lyrics on-time I'll never understand.

The “Hall of Fame” is robbed from these gentlemen! Sooooo many great hits....

  55. V.... H....

No importa como se juntaron, no importa que no esten en ningun salon de la fama, siempre estaran en el corazon de todos los que nos alegraron el corazon con sus inolvidables canciones y eso es mas que suficiente

  56. J.... S....

When this came out as a single in 67 i was kinda disappointed. I thought Clarksville/Giant Step and Believer/ Steppin' Stone were much better singles. I was knocked out by the b side The Girl i Knew Somewhere, though.

  57. I.... Y....

    Izzy love's rock 🎸 💘 Enjoy 1967.

  66. B.... H....

    They had them labeled wrong!!

  67. M.... ....

I love the breathy way he says "girl".

  68. C.... M....

Funny I remember the first time I heard this song-it was at the Davis Drive in late spring of 1968. They playing it over the speakers you attached to your window to listen to the movie. They would play pop music before the previews.

  69. D.... N....

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame should be ashamed. The Monkees deserved to be put in there years ago. Should've happened when Davy and Peter were still alive.

    D.... N....

  80. J.... M....

    Walk out
Girl, don't you walk out, we've got things to say
    Talk out
Let's have it talked out and things will be okay
    Girl
    I don't want to find
    I'm a little bit wrong
And you're a little bit right
    And I said, girl
    You know that it's true
It's a little bit me (a little bit me)
And it's a little bit you, too
    Don't know
Just what I said wrong but, girl, I apologize
    Don't go
Here's where you belong so wipe the tears from your eyes
    Girl
    I don't want to find
    I'm a little bit wrong
And you're a little bit right
    And I said, girl
    You know that it's true
It's a little bit me (a little bit me)
And it's a little bit you, too
    Oh, girl
    I don't want to find
    I'm a little bit wrong
And you're a little bit right
    Well, I say, girl
    You know that it's true
It's a little bit me (a little bit me)
And it's a little bit you
    Too
    It's a little bit me (uh-huh, it's a little bit me)
    It's a little bit you (uh-huh, it's a little bit you)
Girl, don't go, no, no, no, no, no (uh-huh, it's a little bit me)
Girl, don't go, no, no, no, no, no (uh-huh, it's a little bit you)
Hey, girl (uh-huh, it's a little bit me)
Hey, girl, please don't go (uh-huh, it's a little bit you)

Watching Every Saturday Morning and then off to play with my Hot Wheels !!

  85. d.... d....

Grew up watching the tv show, Micky lived near us

  86. S.... G....

Great song they made their own. They didn't write it but they deserve credit for their performance of it.Saying they don't is like saying an actor deserves NO credit for a great performance because he didn't write the script. How about a bit less of the meanness from some of the commentators.

  87. B.... B....

    ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 5/19/19

  88. P.... M....

Damn. Drinkin because my daughter's momma lost my daughter, pulled up this song and in the middle remembered a girlfriend I used to have that passed away, the part of the song she used to say 'too'.....miss you Gina😞😞😞😞

  89. T.... D....

I think my parents hated hip, modern TV shows like the Monkees, but they let us watch it know we didn’t have any choice when it came to watching Lawrence Welk.
Thanks for at least giving us that mom and dad.

  90. N.... F....

Guy's... you are something that at some point made everything OK...

    "R" (funny) "yet paying rent"

  91. K.... T....

Great song, although the only Monkee on this record is Davy Jones. The instruments were played by session musicians, and nobody knows for sure who sang the chorus. There is a rumour that it was Neil Diamond himself (with doubled voice).

  92. M.... M....

    Superb band .

  93. C.... R....

I feel like this is speed up a bit. Is this, a little bit me or, a little bit you?

  94. j.... w....

Davy was a strong singer, good at pop and beautiful on ballads as well.

  95. T.... S....

    Written by Neil Diamond.
