Jan. 79 I played this song over and over in my yellow Citroën 2 CV on the deserted icy streets of the Grenoble universty campus between 2 am and 4 am with my Friend Georges and a bottle of vodka, chain smoking gitanes cigarettes, wishing this 79 winter Never ends . 2 years layer I was in the army, again in the icy snow, but running to the top of my lungs at the same odd jours, in the deserted countryside of Eastern France, a mad sergeant shrieking " faster, faster !" to the Platoon.

I got to see this band at the Long Beach Arena for the 1st time , New Years eve 1979 . I went with my buddy Erik Maehl & lo & behold we met up with one of our misfit brothers, David Kirby. " X" opened for them(u know john doe & Exene, don'tcha?) first time we'd ever seen dem as well!( they friggin ROCKED!!!) wellll ,after the concert we 3 left with our "booty 4 the future,( bright yellow devo chemical suits) ON wearing them all the way to Pasadena so as to march down Colorado blvd in the "ROSE PARADE" check it out if you know how you will probably be able to find some footage with our fool 16 yr old asses being DEVO
