'Metallicrap'. Do you take yourself serious? I don't, when you say that - can understand you don't like Metallica, but it just sounds childish.
As for Sodom, it seems you are right. I was commenting based on what I remember from 'Get Thrashed', which basically stated that the german scene (Kreator, Destruction and others) was inspired to play thrash by demo's from the US - at first Metallica demo's as they were pretty much the first.

Completely agree! Destruction are a lot more unique, have way better solos, riffs and so on(IMO). But like a lot of bands they didn't have much luck.The Antichrist alone shits on most of their stuff. I love Slayer too but Destruction are much more interesting to listen to.

No. The Teutonic thrash 'big 3' were following what was happening in america, especially the big four as those were the pioneers of thrash and pretty big. Petrozza said it himself that he was influenced by Metallica, Slayer and Venom. As for Sodom, the 'oldest' of the 3, they got their stuff going after Metallica and Slayer, Metallica's debut was the first followed shortly after by Slayer Show No Mercy.

@Atreyu1611 Actually the Teutonic thrash metal big 3 was around at the exact same time as the big 4. Destruction are one of the big 3 along with sodom and kreator, if you're going to correct someone, at least get your facts straight,
Sodom formed the same year as metallica and destruction were out before megadeth, so yeah, if you're going to name drop the big 4, do your research
If anything Europe is the home of metal in general.

@bollwerk94 the hometown of Thrash is deffinitly not in Germany let alone Europe...the Big Four Thrash metal bands were in the early 80's and all from North America, heard of these little bands named, METALLICA, SLAYER, ANTHRAX and MEGADETH

Yao Ming Totally agree. The alleged "Big" 4 from America is just nothing comparing to Real thrash titans like DESTRUCTION, KREATOR from Germany. Especially this ridiculous pop-metal Megadeth without power, energy, and boring altogether.

@Rafik Darolecki I thought i was the only one that thought that way. Megadeth are great and fun to listen to but are wayyyy overrated. Kreator, Sodom, Destruction Tankard wipe the floor with the so called "Big 4". Just because those bands aren't american or that famous doesn't make them any less good.
