These songs inspire me so much in life. Today, being cool is listening to rap, wearing the newest shoes, and being a jock. In 5th to 6th grade, I went through an "I need to be a cool jock" phase, but by the end of 6th I realized that being "cool" means nothing. Now I enjoy being a nerd and a skateboarder and do pretty much everything possible to be a dweeb. Because at least that is better than being another face in the crowd, I like to stand out and express myself, and everyone else here should too.

I can relate to this song in so many ways. First of all I got beaten up frequently in junior high for absolutely no reason. I guess they didn't like me because of my musical taste or the fact that I don't drink (I can't stand the taste of alcohol) or do drugs. Also I always found school easy and I always got good grades, which obviously made my classmates jaloux since they never accepted me for who I am and started calling me a geek, freak etc. Who says I can't be smart and cool? Rock on!!!
