Descendents - I Don't Want To Grow Up Lyrics
I don't want to grow up
I don't want to grow up
If growing up means being like you
Then I don't want to be like you
I don't want to grow up
I don't want to grow up
You're grown up, told what to do
Your suit can't hide the truth
You're a fool and I refuse to be like you
I don't want to grow up
I don't want to grow up

Descendents I Don't Want To Grow Up Comments
Great band, Descendents discography here: http://noiseneverends.blogspot.com/2016/04/descendents.html
Then there's a word in my mind and that word is... FUCK!
i'm a pervert
Listen one K7 1992.
Ace for me
first time listening to the band and love how diverse they sound from song to song, in terms of PR genre... some bands would hold on to one song stylistcally and made career out of that.
Pervert is my favorite one of this
I've been listening to descendents for somewhere around 30 years ... I don't wanna grow up.
The Lemonheads covered "Silly Girl" 2 years later on their 1987 album 'Hate Your Friends'. It was pretty faithful to the original, maybe slightly faster, but still good !
Sounds like first maiden awesome
Rockin’ and rollin’ tonight
That’s right ! 😎
This album isn't even half as good as Milo Goes To College.
The sign of a great band. Everybody expected another Milo Goes to College, and they come out with this masterpiece of PoPunk and blow all their fans minds.
Is their any need for all the ads every 2 songs
"Hey, let's exploit rock and roll to its fullest potential." *ad plays*
Lmao YES
49 here, masterpiece since 1986 in my case.
drums/bass so killer
Saw them live last saturday in Barcelona, Spain, and it was a blast. Lots of energy and positive vibe. Amazing Band.
Good good things is one of the best Songs they ever wrote ! Gruß Onkel Schorschi
Milo Goes To College and All usually get most of the praise, but this album is so underrated even among Descendents fans I think. Great LP
I agree I think I actually like this one better
Yep agree.. I Dont like Enjoy though
Thanx for all the commercials dickhole
It weirds me out that Pervert and Good Good Things are in the same album.
Viridiana Alexandra Diaz Mendoza Haha it's like the 1st half of the album is sinful punk and second half is much more clean punk
"i've been thinking good good things about you"
We need more counter culture bands like this nowadays. Reason is: our culture sucks and we need someone to tell it like it is again, instead of being a little bitch left wing globalist poser band like everyone else.
THANK YOU
Silly girl was the song that got me into punk rock
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒
I accidentally grew up.
Good Good Things is a MASTERPIECE so sad they didn't make more 80s songs like that
lived in san diego in the 80s and went to every show-hearing this again brings tears to my eyes thinking of the good ol days-must fun I ever had in my life
Lowkey amazing songs
Gta 5 good job on the music decided

Greatest Descendents line-up. Greatest album of all time.

brutaaaaal
Man, 1985 was a great year, and this album is great, wow how I missed these great songs!!!
Underrated album
The sound on "Milo Goes To College" is better.
Salty Crotchwhiff yeah, I do wish the sound production on this album was better, it probably would've been better received
travis barker!! tattoo brought me here
It was actually Tom who had the tatt dude...
Candace CEBALLOS no it wasn't
go after dag nasty - can i say never knew if the tatt came from there... must've/dont care.... ;)
Donald Trumps secret hints brought me here.

favorite album as of recent
Yeah una de mis bandas favoritas ❤❤
Punk Rock the best.
Dear All, Decendents,
I love you
Sincerely, Matt
The love songs on the end give me chills
Oh god, me too.. in the best way
Yeah this album is really weird how it's balanced in that way. Clearly written for the era of vinyl LP's being the dominant form. Side 1 and Side 2 have a completely different feel to it.
No fat beaver lol
as a foreigner i neve quite understood the expression. does it refer to a "untrimmed bush"?
+Rafael Alvarenga FAT beaver
Can't stand the Fat Beaver! XD
stinky beave
NO FLAT BEER!!!
Ace... best Descendents/ALL song ever
Pretty precient to have a song called No FaceBook in 1985
Youtube Garbage its called "No Fat Beaver" as in a vagina
Hi nowadays people of the internet! Greetings! Listen to this and be amazed. It's called music.
Welcome to the club, bub ;)
since when do babies wear glasses and do the splits? oh well who cares. this album rocks!
Since Milo Aukerman was born.
The toughest baby ever!
Half of the songs on this rank among my favorite songs by Descendents, 4 rank among my favorite overall songs
Best band ever! Descendents discography here: http://noiseneverends.blogspot.com.br/2016/04/descendents.html
Every time i hear in love this way that main riff and solo remind me so much of the smiths.
smiths blow
+Gregory Chri to each is own
in love this way almost sounds like a 50's rock n roll song, such a great pop song!
HA! So i'm not the only one who thinks that "In love this way" sounds like the smiths!
theme sounds surfy
Descendents were originally going the "surf-punk" route. That's a reason why Bill Stevenson has had added '-age' at the end of most songs. You should listen to their songs: "Ride the Wild" and "It's a Hectic World". They both sound very...."surfy".
+ElipsisEffect thank you! :)
You're welcome! :D
my world is my mind, lockin' myself inside
Song are going from ultra quite to deafingly loud. The Descendents are pissing my neighbours off!
FUCK your neighbors! They don't know good music...
Probably, I dunno...
+Elipsis Effect I know, it"s the album cover it has too be.looks unthreating @domdelirium
Neighbors why don't they shut up!
Neighbors They're so fucked up!
Their dog shits on my lawn,
and they ruin all my fun,
neighbors,
milo goes to hell
milo takes a shit
+Chris Gardner ha the new name for the "enjoy!" Album
Milo goes to purgatory
ASS MAN mijo goes to Jr college
Milo gets a hand
Into Daddy's pocket
Silver keys, shiny red sports car
Speed-shift, baby, on PCH, yeah
She's not goin' to school
Surfer's rule!
Oh, Milo goes to hell!
Milo shakes her ass cool
As she strolls across the beach
She's so good, yeah
At teasing all the boys there
Their hopes are rising
While their chances are falling
Frustration
It's such a subtle torture
Oh, Milo goes to hell!
Oh
Oh, Milo goes to hell!
Oh
She's the center of attention
As she runs into the waves
Paddles way outside, yeah
Waiting for the big one
Bigger than she knows, yeah
Huge fin on the water
Flashing white teeth snap
Bloody bikini
Oh, Milo goes to hell!
Oh
Fond memories skateboarding with "Can't Go Back" and "Silly Girl" playing on the boombox in the late 1980s.
Still doing that lol, 37 in age 14 at heart
Milo goes to college is the best album of all time in the descendents world but don't think this isn't a close 2nd. it's an often overlooked gem. good good things is the best pop punk song ever!
agreed Milo goes was one of the best albums ever recorded
Good Good Things is a perfect pop song. Maybe even delete the pop part in that sentence as it's a good good song.
the verse to in love this way fucking rules
TheStupid Mexican niiiiice 😂😂😂
From sixteen to sixty, everyone rocks out to this song, meaning that this song rocks out all around. Just relax and listen. :o)
I think that the best song is pervert and I heard about the descendants because pervert is included in gta v radio on channel X
check out milo goes to hell
college*
+Aaron Timm Why would you think Milo Goes To Hell when you think of Milo Goes To College? lol
@GamerCola because shes with him
I was lucky to see the Descendents at Jones Beach Theatre when I was 18.. I knew a lot of the songs but have been having a revival of all these awesome tunes recently, anyway I danced so hard as there was standing room luckily and right after their set all the beers I had before the show became chunks in front of the whole Jones Beach crowd. I hope they play again.
nah nah na-na nah nah, I don't wanna grow up!
Who remebers my personal made posters of this. I still got it, on the back of a Batman moview poster. There is some rock hard poster putty on it. It lived iny my dorms for 4 years
Happy Birthday Sage Maxwell
Pure genius
"Ace" is such an amazing song.
+Simon Waldram ace is cum
i'd eat that cum though
And thats why i love you....
silly girl is one of my all time favorite songs, just perfect!
Fun fact, Silly Girl is supposedly the reason Tom Delonge wanted to start a pop punk band (Blink 182)
i think silly girl was instrumental to all of the pop punk that came after it. the descendents were the 1st pop-punkish band (well in fairness the ramones were pretty damn poppy too). descendants are like the perfect combo of raunchy punk rock and melody. new album comin very very soon, cant wait....
NOFX also helped pave the way for the pop punk sound
this album is perfect, badass and catchy at the same time! real melodic punk rock!
the bass in this album is like heroin
GOOEY AND STICKY MMMM
heroin, like aids, killed many punks in the 80´s
It's highly addictive?
Cmon guys youre pathetic always judging things even for some comment...heroin is just what it is, it was just a comparison
Guys he meant it the bass was awesome. Like that saying, "if u listen to Pink Floyd, u don't NEED acid"
That's what he means. It's a trip, but a great one.
13th song their best song say i
track 8 is the best.
in love this way and pervert are my favourite.
cant go back and silly girl are my 2 favs but this is my favorite descendents album because every song if fucking brilliant, whereas the other descendents albums have a few weak songs usually....
I say Suburban Home :D
Jeremy Feit 9. Theme for me
Good follow up to" Milo Goes To College" tbh.
Definitely my favorite Descendents record. The recording style on some songs reminds me of Husker Du. Love the dry drum sound with the low tuned snare and loud bass guitar in the mix.
That’s what I was thinking when listening to this album. It has a more raw and interesting sound that you usually find from 80’s alternative bands.
Descendents are life
saw them here in Sydney for the first time 2 years ago and it was one of the tightest gigs I've ever seen. the show is perfect from front to back. I don't even care if they weren't tight but there are one of the few old school punk bands that can be so exact and so raw at the same time. rocked out hard for middle aged men. bill is insane
the songs are a little long...
one of the best albums ever
I'm gay
Bruce Lear, Jr okay.
Anal Cunt?
discote
ACE!!!!!!! MI FAVORITE SONG AND MI FAVORITE ALBUM
I'm a loser who hates trying to make new friends. I drink too much. Maybe one day I'll go back to school and get my shit together but right now I'm happy just being a drunk and having fun.
I'm the same way and I just turned 30. You'll learn a lot about yourself and the world, but try and get out there a little more, trust me; having fun ain't bad. I know how it is. Cheers, man.
I just saw them for the first time last sat. night! I grew up with them and it had been over 15 years until I saw them live! it was EPIC! they rock out even in their 50's!
I graduated from uni in 2012 and have just started my career. I only recently discovered this band, but I am in love with their message and attitude. I mean Milo is a freaking research scientist, he went to uni and then some! I don't think they are advocating dropping out (of society or school), but of doing your own thing, doing it passionately and unabashedly. "growing up" is letting institutions live your life for you.
lots of 1p-lsd legally available nowadays, extremely similar
I had quite soft stool today, maybe because of the peppermint drops I ate.
Aguante química
If doctoral punk rockers is your thing you might dig Bad Religion as well. But Descendents are pretty special.
@jonharson "punk for the educated" lmao just shut the fuck up. LSD is for loosers who can't cope with reality.
Averagekilljoy and dav3fk, u guys restored my faith in YouTube comments. You were arguing at first but ended up having a decent conversation with each other that didn't seem overly flamy or trolly. Fuck ya!
@Mrcrazytony97
It's spelt "rekt", KID!
@*****
Rum dibbidy dibbidy dumb!!
+Alfred Fettuc loser
@***** I don't have anti-freeze in my garbage
Dick dick dick, penis penis penis, dick dick dick, penis penis penis.
Ace is probably one of the most underrated Descendents songs.
I love it!
It even is different from the rest of the others.
