I met a girl named WENDY while listening to the song wendy ........ three years of dating and we were wed ... I used to sing her SILLY GIRL all the time ..... we were together for 16 years ..... We divorced on valentines day 2007.... then i must have played she dont care a million times ... these guys were the soundtrack to my formative years

Punk is more then just offensive vocals and outlandish wardrobe. It's much more than simply saying "Fuck the fakes". It's a life-style, a Belief and a culture. To put it poetically "You were touched by the god of chaos and weren't turned into a stark raving lunatic." To claim to be punk is... a Paradox in a way. But, to answer your question, if they claim it is, it most likely isn't. If they "Dress" and "act" like your stereotypical punk, then the answer is most likely no. Listen to the lyrics, take them in, if they are the cliched "Angry, fuck god, fuck politics" (Basically anything that is similar to the Exploited) then the answer is a strong and swift no. Culturally, Punk is about originality, those things I mentioned,the Cliched Gutter punk, is as far from it as humanely possible. I look at it like this...  If it's like the Sex-pistols, it's not punk, not by along shot. If it's like the american band called Death, it is or is damn close.
