They're pop punk. Milo Goes To College is their only punk album. The Descendents have been credited as the godfathers of the genre. You don't like them being called pop punk because you're afraid of being called an "emo fag." Don't worry though, these guys aren't like Blink-182, Sum 41, Green Day, Offspring, etc. This was when pop punk was actually good and pop punk. Now it's emo and a scapegoat term, so bands aren't referred as emo.
