Derek And The Dominos - It's Too Late Lyrics
It's too late, she's gone
It's too late, my baby's gone
Wish I had told her she was my only one
But it's too late, she's gone
So I guess I have to dry my eyes
Yes, I will miss her more than anyone
But it's too late, she's gone
She's gone (she's gone), oh yeah she's gone (oh, she's gone)
She's gone (she's gone), my baby's gone (my baby's gone)
She's gone (oh, she's gone), oh yeah she's gone (yeah, she's gone)
Where can my baby be?
And I wonder does she know
I need your love babe, please don't make me wait
Tell me it's not too late
She's gone (she's gone), yes she's gone (oh, she's gone)
She's gone (she's gone), my baby's gone (yeah she's gone)
She's gone (she's gone), oh yeah she's gone (oh, my baby's gone)
Where can my baby be?
And I wonder does she know
When she left me, it hurt me so
I need your love babe, please don't make me wait
Tell me it's not too late

There's no music on the planet that's better than good guitar music.
One of a number of superb tracks from a whole album dedicated to lost love.
Great R&R tune ! Thanks 4 postin. Semper Fi.
I hope she knows by now ? Love Bobby Whitlocks
backup singing.
Pairs with Allman Brothers Band Live at Filmore East as the best rock albums ever!
You forget Duane until.......
For the most beautiful girl ever Wendy "Woo" Delaney. It's too late she's gone.
rips up your heart, really; the sense of loss soaring thru their guitars is palpable
I love this album and this song. I can relate to this song in a big way. Heartbreak.

La canción más linda del disco
Buddy Holly did it too.
My favorite album ever!
Damn, that slide!!
When I saw them on the Johnny Cash show i loved them
duane's guitar just cries & bobby's vocals just floor me !!!!
Great Tune from one of the Finest Albums ever Created Thanks Eric & the Dominos !!
check out the original by Chuck Willis
Good version for sure. Chuck was a smooth singer. Slower tempo but for a mid 50's recording it fits the style of the time.
Otis Reading does a fine version also.
The original was kind of a soul number, but Clapton turns it into country blues. Genius!
Beginning sounds like an abridged "Oh Darling!"
Augmented chord
take a deep look to Freddie King's version, he does not deserve less
agreed, Freddie King recorded a great version of this song.
Honestly, this is the first time I heard the studio version. Only other version was the live version from the Johnny Cash Show (a great rendition as well), but Duane's slide really makes this blistering.
Skvělé....Díky !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Duane Allman would have been 69 today-his slide solo gave me goose bumps.R.I.P. Skydog.
Time keeps on flowing by, carrying us with it.
Love Bobby Whitlock's vocals.
+bossfan49 Thought it was Clapton singing lead.
He is. Bobby sang backing and harmony vocals. I love his voice.
Maybe the best album ever, thank you Patty Harrison for the inspiration!
Wrong!!!!! It IS the best album ever!
Thank you Fred Willis for writing this in the 50s
