DEPECHE YOU ARE MY LIFE!

Even still, there is a special quality lended to art that is true to its creator's feelings and inner state. Clearly, something happened in Martin's life to cause the brutal outcry of despair and heartbreak that is this album to come into being. How could you expect him to fight that? It's times like those when you channel your sadness INTO YOUR MUSIC, and create something real, beautifully crafted and natural. Seriously, go whine somewhere else this album is a goddamn masterpiece.

That's what I've been always thinking about. What happened in his life that he writes such "depressive" melodies and his lyrics...oh gosh...they are like confessions of a beautiful broken soul (he was broken from the start ;) ). Well we all know at that time it was divorce that gave him inspiration to write such music, but not only this album sounds...melancholic (sorry, 'coz Mart doesn't like this word). Something must have happened in his life, probably in his teenage years, that influenced the philosophy of his song's writing. He's ethereal , he doesn't belong on our planet. How much he suffers for the music he's giving us. I think I wouldn't survive my teenage years without his music. I'm so thankful to him (he's fuckable too btw. XD )

So why buy an album and proceed to criticize it expressly for its tone, when it disclaims itself on the back of the thing? Depeche Mode has been dabbling in darkness ever since Black Celebration anyways, so I really don't know what to think about all this. Although, who am I kidding, it's not like you kids actually BUY cd's anymore anyways.

This songs makes me think of being over 80 years of age in a very diseased body and finally getting my first kiss of my lifetime and finally being cured of my lifelong sadness and loneliness. I get that feeling as if I could live another 100 years.

This new Depeche Mode sound is a little strange for me,i can't me identify with this.
It is OK and good,but I feel something is missing,especially in the orchestration,Exiter and the other albums were maybe better in this aspect.I'm not disappointed,but I hope the forthcoming album will be better.
