Demon Hunter - Trying Times Lyrics
These are trying times
Made to break the heart wide
But we still defy
We will make the dead rise
We can't be silent
We can't belong
We have a promise
To die upon
We'll set the fire
Into a song
To burn eternal
When we're all gone
These are trying times
Made to break the heart wide
But we still defy
We will make the dead rise
We will make the dead rise
Made to break the heart wide
But we still defy
We will make the dead rise
We can't be silent
We can't belong
We have a promise
To die upon
We'll set the fire
Into a song
To burn eternal
When we're all gone
These are trying times
Made to break the heart wide
But we still defy
We will make the dead rise
We will make the dead rise

Demon Hunter Trying Times Comments
This song gives me the chills it's so heavy.
I like this. Thanks and praise to God
Petition to take out adds between this song and Jesus wept, like to sign.
9 people don't have Trying Times.
These Really Are Trying Times
que buena cancion
Trying Times
This is one of the best album intros I've heard from a band in a LONG time!
I truly do love how Demon Hunter did the song it is totally awesome and it's fantastic. I just had a thought. I truly would love see Demon Hunter do a dog tag necklace I think that'd be pretty rockin one side could have demon Hunters name on it and the other side could have Demon Hunter skull logo on it. I think that'd be cool I would buy definitely.
AWESOME!!!
0:38 Assuming it's some sort of percussion element... but this one moment is the only time you hear it and it honestly sounds like somebody opening a can of beer, soda, something, lol. As if they picked up the sound while recording in the studio and said "eh fuck it, just leave it", haha.
Mr. Nerve Damage or they mixed it into the song 😂
In the name of the Most High whose name is Elohim we call unto all soldiers of Christ to fight back against all Satanic hordes. In Jesus Name..Amen!!! Do not be afraid. Fight back In Jesus' Name!!!Amen!!!
Jughead Jones Amen brother!!
Amen my brother!
FOR THE GRACE AND THE MIGHT OF OUR LORD, IN JESUS' NAME AMEN! 1COR 10:4 JOHN 3:16 EPH 6
Demon Hunter Kicks Ass!!
NOW THEYVE SCREWED UP ONE OF THE BEST SONGS ON THE ALBUM
IT WOULD HAVE MADE A PERFECTLY WHOLE SONG ON ITS OWN SEPARATELY FROM THE OTHERS
THAT IS SO STUPID TO END ONE OF THE BEST SONGS ON THE ALBUM SO ABRUPTLY IT JUST DOESNT MAKE ANY SENSE
cornelius mixtapes r sito its an intro track...it leads seamlessly into Jesus Wept
yeah but if you listen on shuffle, or stand alone it sounds really off, a good song that flows into the second song should end good on its own and flow well into the next one, so it doesnlt sound like someone shut the song off abruptly
75% of comments: "Why does it end so abruptly?"
20% of comments: "It's a connection to Jesus Wept"
5% of comments: "I like this intro"
Monica LW Hey Monica great to see you here and I am thinking the same thing, lol
That just about right
It ends just when things get ready for a pit
It's basically just a modern version of Waking The Fallen by Avenged Sevenfold (I do prefer this song though)
those plants know whats good.
Lol this comment is great
Incredible intense intro...
BEST intro EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK, who's opening the brewskie at 0:38 in the background?
Josh Jackson it's a Diet Dr. Pepper...
I think I heard it again at 0:52.
YOU CAN'T UN-HEAR IT
For everyone wondering why it ends so abruptly, it is because this was originally meant to be just the short chorus and be the intro to Jesus Wept, but they turned i into a full separate intro for the album, but it still directly ties into Jesus Wept. On the album it has a seamless connection.
I thought that it would, but on the album, it doesn't seamlessly connect with anything... all of the songs have clear and separate beginnings. Essentially... I'm saying that Jesus Wept doesn't start with the "ending of Trying Times" on my version of the album. You can even go right now to the legit "Solid State Records" uploaded version of Jesus Wept and there's no connection whatsoever with this song...
You can actually hear the tail end of the last "Rise" just as the music starts.
Rise is never finished at the end of Trying Times and the first thing you hear at the beginning of Jesus Wept is the drum and guitar work... if you keep repeating the first half second of Jesus Wept you can even hear what sounds like the "eye" sound in "rise" but again, no completed word... lol.
I can hear it pretty clearly dude, and it's faded into the music. But if you're upset you didn't hear a hard S at the end, congratulations, you found your ridiculous nitpick.
Then you have a special copy. I have an extremely trained ear for music and I can attest that, 100%, Wept doesn't start with the "s" sound at the tail end of "rise", nor does it happen at the end of Trying Times. It is a nitpick... but it's also silly from an engineering standpoint... especially from an established band. Does it ruin either song? No... it's just an unnecessary exclusion.
The entire thing??? Wooohooo!!!
Great Song, and for everyone asking about the ending...this is why you need to buy the full album and listen through it. haha. that's how it should be listened to
Bought the album... listened through... expected Jesus Wept to start with the end of this song but it doesn't... it just cuts straight to Jesus Wept's intro guitar riffs. You can even watch the Solid State Records upload of Jesus Wept on the same youtube channel as this video... and there is zero connection between the tracks. Not sure what the fuck they were thinking there...
but this song doesn't lead to any song
I'm why jesvs wept!
Would you like an egg in this trying time?
I love this intro.
The end seems too abrupt/unfinished. Kinda spoils the track for me a bit.
"Tied together" in which sense? Vocally or musically? Many songs on many albums have a theme that ties them together, but that doesn't mean the music will lead seamlessly from one track to the next. Again, I've heard the version that I own, as well as versions uploaded by Solid State themselves, as well as random uploaders and none of the versions I've heard of Jesus Wept start where Trying Times ends...
Mr. Nerve Damage Tied together in that TT flows into JW.
ok... I'll have to take your word for it I suppose, that you have a copy that flows properly from one track to the next. I guess I need to contact them and figure out what's wrong with my retail copy then... and what's wrong with the versions they uploaded to their own youtube channel, lol.
The songs are just fine when I use iTunes.
TT starts to get loud at the VERY end and then JW starts with a punch.
TODAY!!! I SO WANNA GET THAT ALBUM!!!
a música não ta completa no vídeo??? pow vacilou em solidstate
É só uma intro...
Ela tem conexao com Jesus Wept
<3 Demon Hunter
the end is cut, right ? '-'
have a connection with Jesus Wept
why did it end like that :(
have a connection with Jesus Wept
Lex Metalis Assessoria e Agenciamento Ohh now I get it. thank you! :)
One of my favorite Intros
abrupt video ending
SKR3AM might be bc it's an intro song to the rest of the album.
