Stop trying to guess/say their sub-genre because as long as it's good music, it'll be listened to. Of course everyone has different taste in terms of music, activities and more so thats fine.

They're alternative metal for the most part--they growl and scream more, have fast or heavy drums, heavy music in general. They don't really fall under punk. Alt metal/hardcore. *music obsessed * Punk can have yells/screams but not like this.

yes to all of the above... except TFK they are more grunge punk christian rock... except for MAYBE the album the flame in all of us even then...

@Relleq late response but the reason why he sounds different in this album is because they layered his voice a lot more in this album than in the others.

i completely agree with koolbob, but u can take any perspective out of this. i personally got that we (christians) are like the undead. our bodies are dead and remind us of the death and sin around us but our hearts and minds strugle to stay alive in this pool of death. idk kinda sounds cheesy but it hit me in the heart. just my opinion.

for example "its a dangerous business walking out your front door" is about the world coming to an end and god taking us to heaven.
or "letting go of tonight" is about how Jesus will always stand by you in your life during the good and bad, never letting you fall into a dangerous path if you have faith... thts a good song. old underoath..
but, anyways, i agree on the nowhere near as good as demon hunter, as i lay dying, or living sacrifice.
