Delain - The Tragedy Of The Commons Lyrics
To another commotion
To another disruption
To another explosion
I raise my glass
To another investment
Well here’s to pulling the waistband
But I know at least I thought, at least I fight
At least I know at least I tried
I know I thought, I know I’ll fight
Tonight I kiss the world goodbye
We are one, and one is all
Through self-destruction we fall
Close your eyes, to darkened skies
To another obsession
Over another possession
Another deal well made
Well I raise my glass
And to the blissful ignoring
That the unclaimable objects
Decide our pitfall or prospect
I know at least I thought, at least I fight
At least I know at least I tried
I know I thought, I know I’ll fight
Tonight I kiss the world goodbye
We are one, as one we fall
Our self-destruction of all
Close your eyes, to darkened skies
Our ignorance in demise
This will lead to personal gain
But I won’t feel any personal pain
All the global implications in vain
Yes the price is high but so are the stakes
This belongs to all of us so
really this belongs to no one at all
When it comes to owning up to our fall
Better brace yourself for the end of it all

Delain The Tragedy Of The Commons Comments
Charlotte's voice in the chorus gives me chills. It's so purely musical.
This physically. . . Like literally gave me chills.
Is there a version of this song without the fadeout at the end? Who the hell does this?
Hey there! It's supposed to fade out; the song fades out on the album as well, since it's supposed to be the last song on the album.
@Richelle81995 Wow in my opinion this is actually a terrible piece of execution. Like I would understand if this was done to an electronic song but when they play actual instruments it appears strange. As if song does not actually have an ending.
Through self destruction we fall... So true. Sometimes we sabotage our own happiness and thank God I learned that lesson a long time ago.
Anyone else here form "Psychosis"?
Miss this shit. Heard Moonbathers and no song hit me like this...
Best shit Delain put out in awhile right here.
So true. I tend to like heavier songs.
Probably the best delain song I've ever heard except for Stardust. They just need to be a little bit heavier and they would be perfect. Alissa's vocals add a lot to the song.
Alisa <3
I love it , thanks for uploading this video :D
You're welcome! :)

Just like tale of the gs4
This is one of the Best songs Ive ever fucking heard.
Parts of this remind me of old Oceanborn era Nightwish... Love it.
This Song is perfect in so many ways. Delain usually has good lyrics but i find these lyrics epic. and adding Alissa's vocals along with Charlotte gives the song another perspective. Plus the heavy guitar riff during Alissa's part is dark toned but not too death metalish. It reminds me of Epica's style which is great. I hope they work with Alissa more in the future.
Yep. This is great.
Awsome!
genious song!!
