Just found this band not a rock fan but must admit she has a great voice and they have some great songs

Very GOOD!!!!!!!!!! I just ordered their first two albums and I'm gonna give those a listen. So far I love what I'm hearing!!!!!!! They're coming to Tampa next year with Amorphis and Anneke Van Giersbergen and I'm gonna go to that. Looking forward to it. More people need to hear this group!!!!!!!!

The only ex member of Within Temptation in Delain is Martijn Westerholt end of story and he never played guitar in WT he played keyboards. He is and will always be the only member of Delain that ever played in WT.

Owe Delain an apology. Rated them a bit poppy compared to Epica etc., mostly because of Stardust. Going to see them in Cardiff next week so did some proper listening and realised I'd misjudged. Hope the gig confirms the error. looking forward to Evergrey as well

Rob Westholdt's brother Martijn started this group. He was also in Within Temptation until he fell ill and had to leave so there is that classic Nightwish influence in there from Martijn.

Take time and listen to them too! I recommend you to listen ReVamp's Wild Card and The Gathering's Superheat.

It'd be little brother. Sometimes little brothers may be better than big brothers. Delain's first CD was in 2006. I have CDs from WT that were in 1997.

Yes, and don't forget the Gathering. Anneke Van Giersbergen is considered by many as "the mother" of this current female fronted heavymetal scene. She has also influenced many of these fine ladys in dutch scene. They changed their sound pretty much completely in the la 90's, but Mandylion and Nighttime Birds are classics of this genre.

The Dutch produce the best female fronted metal bands... Epica, Within Temptation, Delain... Epica finally made their way down to Australia this year and was blessed enough to see them.. here's hoping that WT finally get down this way as well and bring Delain as the support.. or screw it, I hope that Delain themselves get down here!

@MariaTheFreakGirl - the more artists/groups you find of the same genre, the more you'll realize they all tend the sound the same... but thats just the style. industrial metal all sounds the same, rap sounds the same, symphonic metal all sounds the same... same genre, just different people and different lyrics :)

It's good... But it reminds me of most other female fronted metal bands.... i.e Lacuna coil, Leaves eyes. There is 1 pro though... Nobody is rapping!!!!
