Def Leppard - Good Morning Freedom Lyrics

Well good morning freedom
I've been woken to a brand new day
Good morning freedom
Now it seems that you have a different way
Starts today

So now I'm free
And now you're ready to take my chance again
So come with me
And I'll take you to the rainbow's end

Oh good morning freedom
I'd like to take you by the hand
And if you doubt me
Just listen to the fan
And you'll understand

So now I'm free
And now you're ready to take my chance again
So come with me
And I'll take you to the rainbow's end

So now I'm free
And now you're ready to take my chance again
So come with me

Def Leppard Good Morning Freedom Comments
  1. A.... F....

Back when Def Leppard sounded more like early Iron Maiden.

  2. R.... P....

    [[ R.I.P Steve Clark ]]

  3. S.... ....

This is why I hate Hysteria

  4. P.... M....

Wish this song made the final cut of 'On Through The Night', they rocked back then with Pete Willis & Steve Clark RIP

  5. N.... P....

It sounds like Hot For Teacher with Rob Halford on vocals.

    N.... P....

Nick P Was the drums specially

  6. B.... ....

I read all these cool comments. Just curious How old are all you guys ? I'm 53, a drummer and hoping they use Pete Willis again. I know, it's a lost cause but.

    B.... ....

rockie I thought pyromania onwards were too overproduced. I like the first two esp high n dry.
Roadhouse was alright and the bad thing about gogmagog was Jonathan king was managing them

    B.... ....

@Neil pye ]] 2 albums!! Pete was on all backing tracks for the PYRO Album my friend. He wrote a bunch of those songs. Look it up for your self.

    B.... ....

@Neil pye ]] I understand you now! but you are in-titled to your opinion. I think it was a great album and Pete did have a huge part in it by playing all the rhythm guitars and as I stated he also wrote a few. Yes it was Phil who played the majority of the leads. Don,t forget that [[ Steve Clark ]] also played lead guitar. He certainly was not a ghost in the band. LOL ]] But Mutt did polish that album like a crow washes it,s ass. Enjoy Yourself

  7. M.... B....

I believe this was on the Bootleg Album "Warchild".

  8. G.... S....

Parts of this sound like "It could be You".

    G.... S....

    Agreed.

  9. E.... M....

When bands record albums there's usually songs that are added or ommitted or different versions of songs that get rerecorded.very rarely are demo recordings actually ever included on the album.

  10. C.... ....

Wow this is rare and awesome Def -Leppard music Thank you to share 43pepsi! :-)

  11. Q.... C....

that was really rare :) QC

  12. R.... D....

From when D.L. was a REAL NWOBHM band. SAD that they hate this (their best IMO) period.

  13. l.... ....

    Thank You for posting this!

  14. B.... C....

Indeed it was. And I wouldn't believe you if I didn't already know that it was true. I'd like to know who's idea it was to dig this one up from the grave and give it new life. Love it when they blow the dust off older material like this and incorporate it into their live performances.

  15. F.... ....

This was the opening song tonight for their VIVA Hysteria residency at the Hard Rock in Vegas!!!

  16. S.... ....

You gotta keep in mind - this was the vinyl days and OTTN was already a fairly long record for its time - 11 songs @ almost 45 min. They couldn't possibly squeeze in another song w/ making it a double LP. The tighter the grooves on vinyl, the more you lose audio quality.

  17. B.... R....

    @RandomTeenager100 Hello America.

  18. d.... w....

AWSOME THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON ON THRU THE NIGHT FOR SURE

  19. m.... ....

@thestonesfan50Really you like their work after willis' work on pyromania. That's poser shit. That's the kind of crap that killed metal

    m.... ....

Nobody cares if you don't like it. Other people are free to like whatever they want. And DL were never part of the NWOBHM, that was the media. They have always been and always will be a rock band. And they've done more for music than most.

    m.... ....

Def Leppard were part of the NWOBHM. They even said in an interview that the only other band that were doing that kind of music was Iron Maiden (who were NWOBHM).

Go listen to their 79 EP and On Through The Night again. That is early British metal, not rock

  20. m.... ....

After Pete Willis it sucks. Pyromania was Willis last work. Never got the recognition he deserves

    m.... ....

It was his last work with Def Leppard. He was later in the bands Gogmagog and Roadhouse.

  21. P.... A....

not heard this since about 1980

  22. A.... 2....

Just when I thought i'd heard every obscure leppard song!!!!! This is great!!

    A.... 2....

Seriously it was at least 7 years after I purchased On Through The Night that I even realized this song existed. It's a shame it's never been released on a CD, it's a great song.

    A.... 2....

@Matthew Hipps You can get it on down load via itunes, amazon. Also they have it on there CD/Vinyl Collection Volume one. Only way you should get the volume 1 collection is if you don't have much of their stuff, and have the money.

  23. L.... T....

@pachor2 its stands for new wave of british heavy metal right?

  24. B.... C....

I still have this record. I carefully remove it from my collection and look at it like once a year. I treat it as if it's the most delicate and fragile thing on this planet. I'm so afraid that one day I'll reach for it and it'll just turn to dust.

  25. B.... R....

    @lorileeslove yes thank you
