Deep Purple - Seventh Heaven Lyrics

I've been to places where the sun goes down
Each day and never rises
I've been to places in a dark room
Where we played with our disguises

Heaven, I'm in heaven
I'm in seventh heaven now
Seventh heaven

It was a dream, I heard a voice
I put it down to wishful thinking
It was a dream, a silent scream
Out of the blue, a new beginning

Heaven, I'm in heaven
I'm in seventh heaven now
Seventh heaven

And then I fell upon a stroke of luck
That led to my good fortune
And then I fell upon my knees
And gently kissed the ground you walk on

Heaven, I'm in heaven
I'm in seventh heaven now
Seventh heaven

They have gone up to a whopping 7 now.. :-)

Good album, don't know why it was criticized so much. Sometimes Gillan sounds like Ozzy, I think, it's not bad but I prefer the deeper voiced Gillan of the past. Strange this album had not a single band photo, only that jumping model... :-/

    r.... ....

Ozzy? Lol. youre a loon. Ian has one of the greatest voices in music. Ozzy is a clown that cannot sing.

    r.... ....

In fact... This is my second most favorite DP album. I don't get the criticizm either. And I love the artwork, so atmospheric!

  19. H.... ....

Awesome solo! I am sure its Steve Morse. From blues based wailings to screaming up and down all over the guitar, he is simply superb.

  20. K.... K....

oh, god it's so smooth at 2:35, they just knew when to go easy and when to hit hard

  21. m.... ....

None of youporn videos will never make me horny like this track! :-D

  22. p.... ....

Amazing, who had that imagination to create so much room, space, unpredictable harmony... and groove?.. creative. Seventh heaven.

  23. S.... G....

@greg0058 Good guitarist, but not as distinctive as Blackmore. Maybe his biggest contributions are the ones that we do hear in the music: positive vibes, stable temperament. But does he have the divine discontent that drove Blackmore to experiment? To work with newer musicians? I'm not sure.

  24. S.... G....

Problem is, he makes it scream most all the time. Scream, and run up and down the fret like a crazed animal. That's his style. I've seen him three times in India - 1995, 2002, 2006 if I remember right. I like him too; he's a very warm personality on stage, all smiles and encouragement. SIFLS - ya, quite possibly the best Morse-era song

  25. S.... G....

Lusciously heavy with a persistently sticky melody. Features what is perhaps Morse's most thoughtfully constructed solo for DP. A worthy successor to Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming from Purpendicular. Great song. 5 stars.
