This whole song is beautiful thrash metal but the last 15 seconds (5:28) just bring it all home. I remember when they exploded on the scene back in 89. The drummer was either 12 or 13 (I cannot remember) AND the manager had to have a legal document on him AT ALL TIMES stating he was allowed to transport their drummer across state lines when they toured due to his age😂✊🏻

OKay.. I had not given Death Angel an honest listen since "The Ultra Violence" back in the late 80's. I decided today to give this a listen and I must say.. daaamn this is quality metal. Going to check out more of their stuff.

You don't have to like their music, but they didn't sell out. They made the music they wanted to, which happened to not be thrash. Good example of ACTUAL sellouts are the pop group The Black Eyed Peas

He called the so called glam metal as “nothing but pop music wrapped in a guitar.” Yet after And Justice For All, they gives us songs that are played all over the radio and songs that hit the Billboard Top 40. After a while, they give us St. Anger😳 I have been into thrash since 83. They started as a thrash band. Metal Up Your Ass was their first album. They followed that with 5 masterpieces (I include Garage Days). They did not “evolve”. They sold out. Plain and simple.

@Don Culotta Because they wanted to make that music, you think James Hetfield wanted to make radio music? He just wanted to make music that was interesting to him. If they wanted to make radio music, they had a lot further to go than the Black Album. Keep in mind that album has Sad But True and The God That Failed on it. Those are not something you hear on pop radio. Was it less aggressive and fast, yes, but not so they could sell more records.

Don't get me wrong, I love Metallica and I love Megadeth,
But if we would have to choose the big 4 of Thrash Metal nowadays, Death Angel will sure be there.

Yes, there are. They were one of the first thrash metal bands out there. Around before Death Angel. Opinion doesn't dictate fact, Anthrax helped popularize the genre and are one of the four best selling thrash metal bands in America. That's why they're in the big four. If I had a say, it'd be Exodus, they were technically around the longest.

I'm an engineer and wear polo shirts and Dockers 😄 I'm just still mad at Anthrax for State of Euphoria and sad at all their attempts to recover ever since (except Persistence of Time) Mostly,, my comment was tounge in cheek and about the unfortunate case of what the band Death Angel could have and should have been.
