Haven't listened to all of deaths earlier albums but the line up of shannon hamm and chuck schuldiner is undeniably epic and I think this is deaths most epic guitar duo arrangement definitely the pairs best solo's in one fuckin song epicness not too mention that slow rhythm guitar at the end with the brutal double kick and I think this is well before those direct drive drum pedals like it doesn't sound overly quick just sounds like chain drive aggression all the way just a killa line up on the sound of perseverance and it's fucken upsetting coz the band was in a league of it's own putting all other forms of metal to shame R.I.P. Chuck keep the metal faith alive!

It's still in a league of it's own. Haven't heard another band yet that has the technical ability WITH that organic groove on the drums. Not to mention these songs. Pure awesomeness. They don't make em like this anymore....

Dude, Chuck was no comparison in terms of soloing against any of his players, starting with James Murphy. That's why he got them in the first place. Because they were the best.

For me the best duo was Andy LaRoque and Chuck but Murphy and Chuck really come close.

Call me crazy, but After listening to Chuck's clean vocal version, the album version just doesn't sound right. This is pretty much the only Death song like that though.
