Dear Hunter, The - Rebirth Lyrics
A sinister slide resounds
From the fountainhead found
When fortune aligned
The roots that ripped had run too deep
And climb up the vine
Your mind is only echoing
What your heart wouldn't say
I’ll be me, in time

Dear Hunter, The Rebirth Comments
the 2:15 part sounds a lot like BTBAM's Bloom, maybe it was an inspiration since the two bands have toured together
you guys give me harry potter vibes
ive got a string need for the score now, time to round up a buntcha orchestra friends lol
I never get tired of their vocal-driven, layered intros.

The roots that ripped had run too deep
Left to dig in the weeds
And climb up the vine
Your mind is only echoing

Would it be possible to publish lyrics with your videos? I have issues with consonants, so I can't always tell what's being said... though I enjoy music for itself. It would make things much easier than trying to track down lyrics through a 3rd party!
This album has found its way into my bones. I'll be listening to it 30 years from now...should I live that long. It's an emotive masterpiece IMHO.
I hope you live that long and then some. Enjoy it!
very seldomly do i come across a song, let alone an entire album and upon finishing it i say to myself ; WOW . extremely well done and refreshingly interesting .
complement by the way
This band should do film scores.
Misha brought me here.
I love that this song sounds like the beginning of a Tim Burton film. Danny Elfman FTW!
+Patrick Pants lol yes! from the 2:00 mark onward, i thought of that opening breakfast scene in pee wee's big adventure
Why does this not have 10,000,000 likes yet!?! Oh wait.. Complex creativity only resonates in the minds of a select few. At least I know I am among uniquely like-minded individuals.
+Agronox DT Nope. It's marketing and word-by-word advertisement, which is something this band lacks. And people are scared of fandoms of "underground" bands because douchebaggery abounds there.
+Agronox DT Pretentious...moi? LOL
Omfg you are ridiculous. A truly intelligent person wouldn't feel the need to advertise it. For the record, unique means one of a kind so it's a misnomer. You can't be "unique" among like-minded individuals - certainly not in the way you intended it to mean.
Lol, you're such a fucking douchebag. Look hipster, these guys make amazing music but that doesn't mean they should be subjected to your desperate quest for self-importance. The fact that they aren't well known and also make great music doesn't mean you're some kind of genius or are better than other people or some shit for listening to them. But you, and all other people like you say shit like this just because you want to feel special and intelligent.
Well, that escalated quickly.
+Agronox DT all their fans own the music, so they dont need to find youtube uploads ;)
writing on walls an this song. what intro is better thoe? they are both really great
+Cameron Stuhler The vocal diversity is greater in Writing on the Walls, and when it starts "Open eyes young man vigilante hands.." it just adds even more to the variation. Imagine this intro A Capella.. it is lacking in the vocal foundation. But as you already stated, they are both amazing!
I wouldn't say better but try listening to the hollow from Coheed and cambria. I think it's about equal. Still trying to decide which band I like better because they're both my favourite bands.
+Cole Meyers Dude... The Hollow is such a breathtaking intro to The Afterman. Such an amazing album (or double album).
+AkiTheRedWolf Ikr first time I listened to it I had to throw own a hoodie because I kept getting chills down my spine. Truly 1 of the best bands I've ever listened to, that and this band now. These 2 bands are simply both my favourite band because of the pure amazing music they both make. I could not decide which band I like better.
I blame Meg Turney for my presence here!
Absolutely beautiful album! I am so tempted to drive 6 hours to Atlanta just to see these guys live. So glad Casey stayed true to what makes The Dear Hunter the greatest band in the world!
+Maxwell Henry Daum I saw them in Seattle recently. They sound perfect live. One of the best shows I've ever seen. Luckily they didn't play too many slow songs or I would have cried like a baby.
You guys remind me so much of Kingdom Hearts. Idk I can't explain it, but damn do I love it.
I get more of a Bloodborne feel off this. Especially the song Ouroboros
the dear hunter was the perfect soundtrack for bloodborne
+Matthew Black I WAS LITERALLY JUST THINKING BLOODBORNE THE WHOLE TIME I LISTENED TO THESE SONGS. SO MANY REFERENCES
