Dear Hunter, The - All Is As All Should Be Lyrics

What were we before?
Were we always what we are or
Were we made to change?

Is all that remains the will to start again or
Is there more retained
When another life begins?

Copycat, you can't look back
Your eyes, they haven't seen nothin'
But at the end when you're looking out through my eyes
You'll see that all is as all should be

As I fade away, you come to be and when the cycle ends
It begins with an unfamiliar me
You're doomed to brave decisions I made
But maybe every mistake was placed deep beneath
The current we sustain

Copycat, you can't look back
Your eyes, they haven't seen nothin'
But at the end when you're looking out through my eyes
You'll see that all is as all should be

All is as all should be...

As I fade away
Will you finally come to be
Or will the cycle end?

Dear Hunter, The All Is As All Should Be Comments
  1. S.... S....

Yo, this is givin me some serious Reign of Kindo vibes

  2. C.... P....

Not sure if I already commented, but thank you! love this band to the moon and back

  3. T.... N....

one of the best opening songs to an album ive heard in a lonnng time. fuckng WOW

  4. S.... K....

Man, I can't listen to this album without crying, smiling, laughing, and wanting to destroy everything, if only to make it better. I get the feeling that each song corresponds to the five fingers and the palm. The final track is obviously the palm, but which tracks do you guys think correspond to the individual fingers?

    S.... K....

Blame Paradise has to be the middle finger. Beyond the Pale is probably the ring finger, the Right Wrong is the index, Witness Me is the little finger (that's the side we tend to show on social media), and that leaves Shake me Awake as the thumbs up to all of existence.

  5. C.... C....

holy crap that last song is so good

  6. S.... M....

The music video to Blame Paradise is wild.

  7. V.... ....

This masterpiece just goes to show that if you want to write a song in a particular genre, you would be advised to take as little inspiration from your genre as possible. I remember being outside the brewery next to the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, speaking to you over a glass of whiskey, and watching tree sloth videos. And you're only evolving. I'm proud of you, keep pushing those musical boundaries.

  8. M.... T....

Blame Paradise... I really like the intro, it looks like the style of "hokuto no ken" XD anyway, congratulations, I've known you recently but I've already fallen in love with your style, you have technique and charisma. Molto bravi! XD

  9. H.... P....

Amazing again, they never dissapoint :)

  10. S.... B....

Wow why isnt this more popular?

  11. a.... ....

Anyone here listen to Thank You Scientist?

    a.... ....

yeah! they are the perfect complement to TDH, also Bent Knee are amazing...

  12. N.... C....

This song just fits with all of my feelings. Some happy some sad but overall just great music.

  13. E.... F....

Dear Dear Hunter... Running out of mojo are we??

  14. M.... I....

Guys, leave some talent for the rest of us

  15. M.... W....

First song is called “The Right Wrong” I believe. Otherwise thank you so much for this upload as well as Act V

  16. F.... P....

    MAGNUS FEELS

  17. G.... ....

I have just bought this from Bandcamp.com. A bargain for class music. It's just the latest of a series of terrific music coming from these guys, particularly the masterful Casey Crescenzo. I highly recommend their five act (so far) series of albums, starting with, er, Act 1. You can now get Acts 1 to 3 together on CD at long last.

  18. g.... ....

Reminds me of his Receiving End of Sirens days. Perfect.

  19. P.... ....

    ahh, the adventure zone...

  20. A.... ....

    The right - Magnus Burnsides
    Blame Paradise - Lucretia
Beyond The Pale - Merle Highchurch
    Shake me (awake) Davenport
    Witness me - Barry Bluejeans
All is As All Should Be - Taako and Lup

    A.... ....

hfjsgak Homestuck, TDH, and TAZ. You're good people.

    A.... ....

    God bless you

    A.... ....

    Who are those people?

    A.... ....

@Date Masamune They're characters from The Adventure Zone, a podcast where three brothers and their dad played D&D. Started as a goof, but got really intense. I suppose it is as dorky as it sounds, but it's also an amazing piece of group storytelling. There are a couple trailers on YouTube if you're interested

  21. E.... Y....

the beggining of the 4th song: shake me awake when they are harmonizing sounds so much like a band i used to listen to called moon safari a swedish band XD

  22. E.... Y....

the dear hunter is great !

  23. S.... ....

Witness Me. Too good. Holy shit.

  24. G.... ....

Thank you for sharing this! Beautiful music! I love this band!

  25. N.... P....

I didn't like it that much, It's been difficult to find good prog music these days, Jazz is more appealing to my ears, I'll stick to my old prog bands...

    N.... P....

If u like jazz n prog check Haken out, or Nova Collective.

    N.... P....

    New Cynic is amazing!

    N.... P....

i wouldn't consider this as the progressive facet of TDH, the phase of the acts gave The Dear Hunter the label of a post progressive band, however, if you're into old school prog rock, like Soft Machine, National Health, Hatfield and the North (Canterbury Scene) and you expected that kind of stuff, then you're in the wrong place... THD can be more like alternative mixed with a little bit of prog rock and a theatrical style found in rock opera.

    N.... P....

This really isn't TDH's normal style. Check out their studio albums too.

  26. s.... d....

    ***
    tasteful epic jammings

  27. s.... d....

less than 20k views, blows my fuckn mind. ive listened to it at least 45 times. maybe the worlds not ready for epic jamz

  28. s.... d....

I studied drumset performance, emphasis in jazz. Toured in a death metal act, played reggae, grew up punk, and my drum teacher made $ thru drumming country muzak. This band supersedes all others of any variety. Nick Crescenzo your style points are ruthless, just tasty licks. Casey, u and I already know you're the songbird of my generation. cept im born 1990 so everyone slightly before/after me hates good tunes. bought vinyl colors for xmas presents cause u know i already own that ish. love y'all, please continue

    s.... d....

why does everyone compress the snare to sound like cardboard?

  29. E.... B....

Dude, thank you for this. All the items on their store are sold out. :(

  30. C.... O....

Casey's conceptual continuity across albums is 2nd only to Maynard's. Sorry to hate, heh. TDH's composition has come a long way though. I couldn't help but smile on Beyond the Pale and throughout the rest of the record. I must pay for this!

btw, is Blame Paradise about the interpretations fans publish? ...reminds me of Blame Hoffman, or Life of Brian (Apparently You Haven't Seen). hah, just couldn't resist.

Much like Maynard's, the lessons or stories told seem to be in such a narrative that they should be counterinuitive to the listener's ear. Ironically, intentionally or not, making the listener think for themselves.

It's almost like the title track's content is synonymous with Vicarious' but conveyed in a meta way. Witness Me is somehow synchronous with Reflection in my mind. Maybe I should listen to more music ;)

    C.... O....

I don't know, man. Have you listened to Coheed and Cambria?

    C.... O....

Coheed and Cambria is amazing. Definitely check them out

    C.... O....

For sure man, been a coheed fan since the 2nd stage. I like how they started with the 2nd album and ended with the first. Still, I'd have to put em third on the list.

  31. M.... M....

    Witness me is fucking beautiful.

  32. J.... W....

once again another amazing album! they never cease to amaze me

  33. G.... ....

i am so glad i discovered this awesome band

  34. B.... P....

I have a reasonable suspicion that this channel is just Casey Crescenzo uploading this on his own.

    B.... P....

    Oh if that's the case:

    Hi Casey! We love you!

  35. i.... b....

    Thanks Rocked reviews

  36. K.... m....

12 k views. Absolute travesty to the sanctity of real music. TDH, i salute you

  37. R.... M....

This eases the wait for ACT VI

  38. N.... ....

I didn't think that an EP could be THIS good.

  39. J.... S....

This shit made the head of my dick just explode with utter glee!!!

  40. J.... H....

Just as good as I expected

  41. g.... ....

it seems like every dear hunter entry takes me a while to love, and this is no different. Many times i hear their album, and find things a touch disjointed, but upon listening to it a few more times, it comes together.

so in liu of that, time to hit repeat.

    g.... ....

I'm glad I'm not the only one willing to give interesting music a proper chance, even if it doesn't grab you right away.

  42. E.... D....

I just got the EP by mail and I'm crying- "While every single one of you is wholly unique, this EP, and these people, represent the extended family of The Dear Hunter - all of you leaving a fingerprint on these songs, and this project."

  43. D.... B....

    Keep Dreamin'

  44. a.... ....

Excellent - too expensive to ship to the UK at the mo, so good to get a chance to hear, and thanks for the Bandcamp link. My hope is that this upload will result in more sales!

  45. d.... ....

I'm so sad that I haven't listened to this sooner.

  46. m.... ....

    Awesome, ty!
Also the first song is called The Right Wrong, not The Right:)

  47. N.... F....

This is awesome but I'm bummed it's not on Spotify.

    N.... F....

It'll be available on Spotify tomorrow!

    N.... F....

You'd better be truthing my heart can't take the disappointment if its not!

    N.... F....

It's currently streaming on Bandcamp but their FB says it'll be streaming everywhere the 8th!
So at least that's what everyone is hoping that means at least

    N.... F....

I think you're probably right so, thank you internet stranger, for the best news all week.

    N.... F....

  52. I.... V....

But please buy the EP people! Support great music like this

    I.... V....

    I bought it through iTunes

    I.... V....

Iver Vammervold when it comes out for google play i most definitely am

    I.... V....

Same. I'm waiting for it to show up on Google.

    I.... V....

In my country, Colombi, nobody sells such music.

    I.... V....

I do own it, but I mostly use YouTube when I listen to jams.

  53. T.... ....

Listening here till it releases on Google Play.

Been blue-balled for two days now, wtf google play music?

    T.... ....

You should buy it on Bandcamp if it isn't too much of a hassle, you can download higher quality files off of bandcamp which you cannot from google play.

  54. C.... ....

Has a color spectrum feel to it

  55. A.... G....

Best band in the world today - and they have been for a long while.

    A.... G....

To any fans of progressive rock spanning almost every other rock genre certainly. Alternative, experimental, orchestral, indie, punk, industrial, and folk elements all can be found in their beautiful and variant albums. They are also my favorite band and have been for a long while

    A.... G....

S A I agree wholeheartedly. I am a huge fan of prog rock (Gabriel-era Genesis, Yes, King Crimson, Tool, Queen's 'A Night at the Opera', even modern prog like Animals as Leaders and Chon), but nothing can really compare to what Casey has created with The Dear Hunter. This EP in particular, it's impossible to categorize it within the scope of a musical genre. There's hints of metal, hard rock, soft acoustic, pop, ambient, dance/disco.. the list goes on and this is the case with all of their albums. I'm a musician and a music lover and so I can't deny that this is my favorite group. By a mile. Or several.

    A.... G....

At this rate, they always will be.

    A.... G....

    Haken is #1

    A.... G....

    Tool fan here

  56. C.... ....

I am so happy I found this band, so versatile and brilliant productions. If you haven't bought this EP yet then you need to!

    C.... ....

CocoOwnzU so glad you discovered the best band (I'm biased being that TDH has been my top for over a decade) in history! You have so much good music to discover ;)

  57. F.... ....

  65. T.... ....

    You are a GOD

    T.... ....

    you are a god terri

  66. S.... B....

"Be less concerned with what the haters say
Cuz they're just haters (they're just haters anyway)"

Hahaha I never expected that line from Casey.

    S.... B....

The boy is full of surprises

    S.... B....

    You'll get used to it~ :v

  67. C.... D....

I love their happy and ubeat songs the most, so Shake Me (Awake) is definitely my favorite.

    C.... D....

Interesting - that is my LEAST favorite.

    C.... D....

What about the surge of adrenaline in the lyrical recounting of reality through those minor variations and Gavin's synth though?

    C.... D....

I have no idea what this means. The song is bland.

    C.... D....

Andy Breivik... Funny, I would never use the word bland to describe any of The Dear Hunter's songs. I personally like when they spice their albums up with fluctuations like it, and the style on Shake me Awake reminds me of Yellow's flavor... It's all very good, better than the otherwise mostly mainstream and formulaic...

    C.... D....

I definitely like their wide array of styles. But I don't like pop music, and Shake me awake is a pop song.

  68. J.... R....

    This is truly amazing.

  69. T.... L....

    Holy fuck
