Dean Martin - I'll Be Seeing You Lyrics

(I'll be seeing you) in all the old familiar places
That this heart of mine embraces all day through
In that small cafe the park across the way
The children's carousel the chestnut trees the wishing well.

I'll be seeing you in every lovely summer's day
In everything that's light and gay I'll always think of you that way
I'll find you in the morning sun and when the night is new
I'll be looking at the moon but I'll be seeing you.

(I'll be seeing you in every lovely summer's day
In everything that's light and gay) I'll always think of you that way
I'll find you in the morning sun and when the night is new
I'll be looking at the moon but I'll be seeing you.

(I'll be seeing you...)

One of the greatest talents ever!

  5. h.... ....

Thanks for uploading. Bing Crosby's is beyond beautiful, and no shmarmy background singers and swingy rhythm. It needs to be solo'd, and not have an upbeat rhythm, to convey its profoundly serious, deadly wartime dread and hope, as Bing did it:

Nice old song from before my own time in a splendid version by Dean Martin. I liked the cool way he sang and my late Dad had many of his records. I had not heard him in perhaps twenty years but I still like to hear him sing.

  20. S.... P....

What was it about post War, Mid century entertainers having such massive appeal and charisma? Dean Martin, Sinatra, Elvis, The Beatles, Babs Streisand, Doris Day?

  21. t.... d....

Bah, what a f...arangement in triplets and those drums to the fore.

  22. S.... B....

Dean Martin foi, há décadas passadas, um dos maiores cantores americanos, rivalizando com Sinatra, Bing e Tony Benet.

  35. J.... N....

Elvis said that his two favorite singers were Dean Martin and Roy Orbison. Dean Martin sang so effortlessly.

  36. J.... C....

I've been totally hooked on Dino, King Of Kool, since 1951, when I was six. (Kool was how we spelt it in those days)

  37. J.... L....

Dean and I go back to when I was a young man.

  52. r.... ....

    very nice song

  53. J.... P....

Smoking may have done him in ultimately, but it defined him and his image.  And good for him that he declined the surgery at 77 because he wouldn't compromise.  For what?  A few more years of living as he wouldn't have wanted to?  He was the epitome of cool in his era.............and he kept true to that ! ! !

    J.... P....

    @TEXASFENDERBENDER Exactly!!!!

    J.... P....

I agree for the way Dean lived and boy did he live he had a great innings.

  57. H.... d....

    This was also Dean Martin....smoking.....?
Following his diagnosis of lung cancer at Cedars Sinai Medical Center on 16 September 1993, Martin finally quit smoking and even managed to perform briefly, and rather jauntily, at his 77th birthday celebration in June 1994. He declined to have major surgery on his liver and kidneys which doctors told him was necessary to prolong his life, and succumbed to respiratory failure on Christmas Day 1995.

  58. j.... k....

Just the best singer of all time.

  59. J.... M....

He is the King of Cool and you're right.....he does make smoking classy.....he was an A#1 Class Act....both he and Jeannie!

  60. F.... Y....

For youthful politically correct clueless punks, try looking out side you tiny frame of reference and look at the talent. borek92... grow up

  61. F.... Y....

The KING of COOL... long live the king!!!!

  62. S.... X....

*-* THE ACTOR RAUL JULIA USED TO SING THIS SONG TO ME OVER THE PHONE WHEN WE COULDN'T GET THE CHANCE TO SEE EACHOTHER. HE SAID HE LIKED THE DEAN MARTIN VERSION THE BEST.

  63. R.... W....

He had a great voice and sang some great songs.

  64. A.... M....

he was a man hard drinking ,chain smoking, man and a sexy voice mmmmmm

  65. N.... R....

(not Selena)----lauren: my mum would always look as if she were going to cry whenever she listened to this beautiful song...she met my dad when he was stationed, as a WW II serviceman in the Marine Corps, in her home of Wellington, New Zealand in 1943

  66. J.... R....

Dean Martin, the absolute best entertainer in his time, he always looked good, and was always smiling, this song is great he sings so profoundly, sweet, and with such rhythm. Also a ladies man haha anyways Dino I'll be seeing you <3 :')

  67. D.... C....

Dean Martin did make a huge contribution to the smoking looking cool scene, but haven't you seen any films with Humphrey Bogart in them?

  68. W.... m....

But no one sang this song like Billie. Heart-rending and sublime...

  69. s.... ....

frank was classy while smoking too!

  70. r.... o....

A very beautiful song reminds me of my younger days

  71. T.... ....

dean martin you dirty old drunk lmao

  72. C.... D....

Great song...done by a great musical voice....and you could understand the words...unlike this stuff you have out here now.

  73. R.... A....

You certainly don't look cheap, you look damn classy. You're listening to Dean Martin after all :) We shouldn't let this song go to waste... if you catch my drift horizontally *wink*

  74. 1.... ....

lol who the fuck are you, and why did you randomly comment to me.

  75. p.... ....

i will find u this moment!

  76. A.... ....

I don't know what your talking about because there was still the same amount of crime back then as there is now.

  77. W.... E....

Its easy to look classy with a cigar or a pipe, but it takes something to do it with a cigarette.

  78. b.... l....

That was not my dirty langauge, it was from a man. check our the facts before pointing your finger.

  79. b.... l....

Worry about your own life and not mine.

  80. b.... l....

who are you and why are you on my facebook page. Mind your own business.

  81. b.... l....

woman - who else would swoon over Dean Martin? Oh I take that back, I have male friends who would.

  82. b.... l....

I knew that but am surprised to know that anyone else even paid attention. Thank you very much for your input.

  83. b.... l....

I totally agree. Life was much simpler then, no gang bangers, drug dealers, we all felt safe and happy. I was not part of the Woodstock bunch, so i can honestly say none of my friends did drugs. We just drank beer.

  84. b.... l....

You are absolutely right. How can he sing, take a puff and his voice still sounds velvet.

  85. b.... k....

I also wish we could go back to the old and simple times, where music like this made sense. Most of the music today is just junk

  86. b.... ....

    Not this version.

  87. 1.... ....

Hey, guess what. Fuck off, this wasn't your argument.

  88. M.... ....

13r, you need to get a grip and not get so upset about the little things. You also need to clean up your language.

  89. m.... ....

UUUUAAAAGHHHHFKSDFJD I DON'T CARE ABOUT ULTRA DOWNY. GIVE ME DEAN MARTIN.

  90. M.... S....

When i find the woman that loves this as much as me, ill be in love...

  91. J.... T....

Much better than Frank Sinatra. But then, who isn't?

  92. D.... H....

Johnny Carson's favorite song ---- God love them all!!!!

  93. 1.... ....

i only have 1 thing to say to your sense of losing this argument, using the grammar that a 1st grade special education pupil would use, and your action of making up fake facts. *Ahem* Umad?

  94. 1.... ....

he sang the song in 1938. where, oh where, do you see this is a fucking cover? This is the actual song, you know, the kind that you would play on a record? Do you, sir, know what a record is? Obviously not. And you can also not read dates. Learn to fucking read you doughnut puncher.

  95. J.... P....

Anyone who spells "much" as "mutch" is a moron.

  96. 1.... ....

60's or 70's? are you retarded? this is big band, big band was WAYY out by the 60's. That was the era of funk, and disco. The only artist that still did big band through that era was frank sinatra.

  97. T.... ....

It's probably more from like the 60's or 70's, the songs from 38 but not the cover

  98. Y.... ....

So talented, so laid back, so humble. I want to be like this man.

  99. A.... P....

Like if this reminds you of the notebook

  100. m.... ....

They are not simple. A lot of younger singers would have a hard time with the harmonic complexities of these songs. These old guys were very, very sophisticated musicians. Listen to some recordings of Sinatra in rehearsal someday and see what he brought to a session musically.
