Dean Martin - A Hundred Years From Today Lyrics

Don't save your kisses just pass them around
You'll find my reason is logically sound
Who's gonna know that you passed them around
A hundred years from today

Why crave a penthouse that's fit for a queen
You're nearer heaven on mother earth's green
If you had millions what would they all mean
A hundred years from today

So laugh and sing
Make love the thing
Be happy while you may
There's always one
Beneath the sun who's bound to make you feel that way

The moon is shining and that's a good sign
Cling to me closer and say you'll be mine
Remember darling we won't see it shine
A hundred years from today
A hundred years from today

The moon is shining and that's a good sign
Cling to me closer and say you'll be mine
Remember darling we won't see it shine
A hundred years from today
A hundred years from today

Today
Today

No sé. No sé.

I dont know. I dont know. One must be stupid. Anachronistic, silly and old fashioned. All that may be true. I will not bother to deny it. But the song is beautiful, its music and its lyrics. Idealize, I know. But, it seems to me after many years, that there is nothing else. And that it is possible that one loses time in other matters while life goes by. And the song is true. That's why it's beautiful. Too bad it takes so long to learn it!

I like that you like it, at least to a small group. Yes, I repeat, it is possible that Martin is paleolithic. But there are two aspects, or three, remarkable: first, the musical theme, the melody and lyrics, despite a poetic idealization (also necessary today to dream). Second, Martín's voice, virile. Third, his humor, his humor. I am not interested in the limitations of Dean Martin's song (they are known, and from there he takes off). His role and space are others. As for the manly thing, it is not a qualification in favor of some possible patriarchalism. It's just the underlining of something that appeals equally to guys and ladies (and @). It feels good It sounds good. And if that is not understandable today, it can be taken on the vintage side. And there is a good historical rescue value.
