While I do like the song, when you learn about the source material of a couple of VR junkies killing their parents when they try to take away their electronic heroin, it does kind of dull the sheen of this bright and happy sounding track

The music, chill, and the story, macabre, it's the weird juxtaposition, in German it's called "unheimlich" which kinda means uncanny....not in the right place....that's what makes it me for me with this song. It reminds me of Exorcist 3....where the old people are possessed by a devil and are able to move extremely quickly, have super human strength, and can crawl on the ceiling. That shit is KAreepy! Because we don't usually associate those abilities with the elderly...not unless they're on datura that is.

The story is indeed macabre, but you might see this song as narrated by the children. They are in love with the Veldt, want to stay forever, and don't care at what cost - essentially, "so in love with the way (they) are". The story is not dark from their perspective.
