Deadboy & The Elephantmen - Song With No Name Lyrics
floating on a casket down the Mississippi
throwing shadows cross the moountains of the moon
there I heard the daughters of december
singing a wicked tune into the graveyard
mouths of children blue in the arms of mother violence
swinging from a star
down the passage we never take
past that door we never open
lost in the locust storm
singing a wicked tune
into the graveyard mouths of children blue in the arms of mother violence
into the graveyard mouths
swinging from that star
that star

Into the graveyard mouths- that chorus melody is so fucking pretty.
This man does not get the credit he deserves. I love you Dax. Please never stop. You've got me through some rough times
Absolute crusher. 👌👌
who can make music this dark and glorious while avoiding death metal. no one but dax. dax paints such dark but simetenously colorful beautifu pictures with his songs. just like he did in acid bath. usually dark songs are not nearly as fantastic as this
Yes this is real music
Why is Gods name does this not have 300,000,000 views...O yea he is our lill secret!
I wonder if anyone else picked up on this but do you think this is about Acid Bath?
- "down the passage we never take" and "past that door we never open" seem like a reference to unfinished work/things - and "lost within the locust storm" again the lost theme, but with the 'locust' line could also be a reference to 'locusts are coming'. 'Venus blue' is also a track, but the word blue comes up several times in the acid bath stuff. It just seems very acid bathy lol
The Workshop I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt that way. I think this is about what happened. Such a sad story. Maybe we will never know.?
The Workshop Great point. I agree.
Nope! Dax is fine what he's doing, No looking back.
Precisely. It's gotta be why it sounds like it does, along with the lyrics. It's why it's the only song, without a name.
The first two lines, though.
I have a really old demo version of this song somewhere.
I have the whole ITIHTIL demo on my old zune, and honesty I prefer it to the official release for just about every song. Its definitely a case of less is more.
You can find most of them on here if you include the word demo in your searches.
I have that copy autographed by the band.I was a member of their street team back when they started.and yes I too prefer the original 👍
This song is so melodic.... and fuckin' heavy. Beautiful.
Acid Bath 1 of my favs.Audie gave me the shirt off his back for my 21st b-day they ran out of t-shirts to sell.feb 23 1996 salt lake city Utah. They opened 4 D.R I.You are missed R.I.P..
Beautiful.
I wish dax would play this again. Its soo epic and dark.
Awesome! Belly dancing and Dax...sounds hot.
love you dax!
Lyrics paint such an amazing visual.
absolutely love this song
I've gotten into gothic belly dancing recently, and this is my FAVORITE song to practice with. And my favorite Deadboy song in general. Fucking gorgeous.
wow! so talented.
Damn good song. Saw them perform live in Lafeyette. Dax Riggs is my idol. Keep it comin bruv
Bruv..you English? I'm asking because bruv is an English phrase, specifically London oriented. And yet you have seen Dax perform, so I am curious.
