guys,guy plays piano,guitar,bass,drums,has his own music studio,tries to bring back vinyls,he is in multiple bands and does his own music give him some room and i find him very talented at drums aswell so lets stop alright ?

new album fucking sucks. 'Three Dollar Hat' is sick though.

whats wrong with the album? i admit it has its faults, but i don't think it sucks. It was a much different then horehound, but you cant expect every band to stay with one sound their whole existence. (btw i also love "three dollar hat" great song)

I'm not asking them to stay the same, but as you get a little older and grow out of that 12-16 year old stage of just obsessing over rock stars (as did I) and only listening to Jack White, Led Zeppelin etc. You realise that this music is so derivative. Horehound had great songs on it, it sounded like a fresh band making fresh music, still does...Sea of Cowards also had some great tunes on it, but imo they should've just stopped there. This new album, even the album title, 'Dodge and Burn' sounds like it was made on one of those song title online generators. Unfortunately I think Jack White has had his day, he should stick to producing younger bands.

That makes sense, and your opinion is noted. Doge and burn is not the best compared to the other 2, but it does have some great songs, such as "i feel love"(every million miles), "impossible Winner", and "be still" is still a rocking song. Perhaps im taking what you said the wrong way, but i feel like not liking a band because they dont sound "fresh" anymore is almost the same as saying that you dont like rock at all anymore because it came from so many other genres, and its just not fresh anymore. So if that is what you meant about music so "derivative" i dont really see your point. Also i dont think they are planning on recording anything soon, so your wish has been granted. But i disagree with you a lot about Jack White not playing in bands anymore, i freaking LOVE Jack, and he should stick with it, i have a feeling thats what hes already planning on doing. In conclusion we agree that doge and burn is not a great album, but for different reasons.

A song can be inspired without sounding derivative, I believe it to be the whole package. The album cover is awful, there is just something about a bunch of 40+ adults pretending to be a young hip rock band that makes my insides turn. You could be right but I still adore bands such as Tame Impala, I still enjoy some of the Kills stuff, I love QOTSA etc....of course this is all subjective. If anyone else enjoys this then that's obviously absolutely fine and great that they get enjoyment from it but for me it is tasteless. ahh fair, for me Jack's last solo album was pretty horrendous. anyway, yeah, it's all good. peace.
