To specify their genre, it's modern-folk bluegrass. There are quite a few in Tennessee where I go quite often.

Dead South's banjo player is like Spinal Tap's drummer. Every song has a banjo, but every video has a different banjo player :)

I like this stuff. Normally I can't stand sappy kind of music or folk southern type tunes but this is pretty cool. Diggin' it. I like the singer's voice raspy and with grit. Strummin' strings.. pretty simple and pure.
