As I do my homework and follow Mr. Nail, I was surprised to read he was cut from his label for whatever reason or reason's! Through my personal experiences i.e/ trials and tribulations, things seem to happen for no reason! In that moment we search for clarity or an answer that simply won't materialize without a proper amount of time! Time tells all! Some have way to much and sadly some are about out! As for me, David makes all my scares&cares seem less important for a few mins! Awesome sauce! Talented at your craft! Ty sir!

Every single song that David writes and sings he does it from his heart and with all his soul. He very much reminds me of Brantley Gilbert in that sense. Both of them are my favorite male country artists. This song is one of my favorites.

David said it was a song that meant something to him because it happened !! In school he and another guy were fighting for the same girl and neither one got her but hurt their friendship !! Great song and he is a good singer and you can tell it's personal to him !!

The writer of this song had an affair with a married woman that was a childhood sweetheart. When she was 8 weeks pregnant, she found out that she was pregnant, and told the writer of this song (Hence the lyrics "8 weeks into a 9 month ride"). He tried to get her to leave the husband and go be with him. She couldn't take the guilt and shame of what she did (Hence the lyrics "I can still see you standing there, swollen eyes and snow in your hair, shaking voice saying you couldn't get past the shame"), so she ended her life. The writer of this song was also a pall bearer, (hence the lyrics "Ain't if funny how the preachers words disappear out here on the curb once the weight of an old friends body and your hands meet") When he says "I walk up and shake his hand", he is talking about the husband of the childhood sweetheart.
