David Lee Roth - Thug Pop Lyrics

Ow, ow

Hands out to your big ass
Here's a hundred beats a minute with the back sass
Thug Pop, Thug Pop
Checks in people with her pants in a bunch
James Dean and Hermie Fox

Ow, people try to blame me
Poets try the same
I'm tryin to hear from the mildew
To the barbeque on a hellbound train

Longshot? That's bitchin'
Served hot
Right from the rhythm kitchen
Perhaps you know my name

I'm called Thug Pop
Thug Pop

When the resurrection comes
There'll be a two drink minimum, wooh
Thug Pop, Thug Pop
Are you ready for some freestyle?
Undress, stay awhile

All right, let's go to the back
Woo

People try to blame me
Poets try the same
I'm tryin to hear from the mildew
to the barbeque on a hellbound train...

Longshot? That's bitchin'
Served hot
Tight from the rhythm kitchen.
Perhaps you know my name...

Wow
Oh, oh

People try to blame me
Poets try the same
I'm tryin to hear from the mildew
To the barbeque on a hellbound train

Longshot? That's bitchin'
Served hot
Right from the rhythm kitchen
Perhaps you know my name

I'm called Thug Pop
Perhaps you know my name
Perhaps you know my name
I'm called Thug Pop

HOW on earth does this video have so few views??
I don't like to use the term ''underrated'', there is so much music on this planet that is ****** great, but is not that well-known. But this song is epic (also a little bit misplaced; on a bluesy/soft-rock album - but hey, I don't care, it's my favorite song off this album now). :)

I agree, amazing song and yes John 5 on guitar takes the music to another level. However, we have to admit the main riff sounds a lot like Led Zeppelin, as Blacklight on the DLR Band album. Well, I love the DLR Band album and this song is fucking good!

Yes, that's true! If i'm correct, Dave just wanted one 'original' on this album as the rest are all covers. John 5 wrote the riff, but Brian Young and/or (?) Jeremy Zuckerman is on guitar.
