David Gray - Forever Is Tommorow Is Today Lyrics

Tuesday my heart is brimming
I'm a child in the wild wind
Dead leaves and daylight dimming
No beginning and no end
Inside a candle of defiance
Moonlight
A river of pearls

Cause we're going to need more
Than money and science
To see us through this world

You say it can't be done
You'd rather die of fun
Get out of the way
For me for you for everyone
Forever is tomorrow is today

Shut all the windows
Shut all the doors
We're keeping it all out of sight
We're keeping it all
It's tearing us apart
You don't know your good
From your bad from your black
From your blood from your wrong
From your right
So you camouflage your heart

I don't want no other distractions
There's too much here to see
Faint hearts or jaded reactions
Contraptions of history

You say it can't be done
You'd rather die of fun
Get out of the way
For me for you for everyone
Forever is tomorrow is today

Shut all the windows
Shut all the doors
I'm keeping it all out of sight
I'm keeping it all
It's mine and mine alone
Corrosion collision
I need a vision
To tear off the cloak of the night
And shatter eyes of stone

You say it can't be done
You'd rather die of fun
Get out of the way
For me for you for everyone
Forever is tomorrow is today
Forever is tomorrow is today
Forever is tomorrow is today

I think I'm the only one in Zim who is a fan of David Gray. Not many have been lucky to listen to his music here.

  2. A.... T....

It always makes me sad when I ask people if they have David Gray's first album and they yes White Ladder

  3. P.... L....

One of my favs by DG

  5. M.... C....

    Brilliant....

  6. K.... M....

How did he lose his Welsh accent between this and White Ladder?

  7. R.... W....

One of my favourite Gray songs

  8. A.... F....

666 is representative of corporate greed sell sell sell ... da

  9. S.... G....

    A low-key wonder.

  10. f.... j....

Your words r just so real, just love you Mr, David Gray, keep singing, such a beautiful voice you were blessed with. Thank You for such great music!!!!!!!!!!

  11. L.... m....

    Alejandro Fuentes - Sail Away

  12. H.... ....

He's got a lot of good songs, actually, not good but great songs after 2001 but the Foundling album is his worst album so far.

    H.... ....

I tried listening to it 3/4 times, and i am going to try again, expecting same results, but hay i'm trying, only so much you can do,as i said on another david gray page,it was lost songs actually,i was just saying that certain songs take us longer to adjust to,i usually know after a few try's,but i'm sure we have all said we didn't like a song and two weeks later, decide ya actually like it,,but i already know i'm not fond of FOUNDLING hehe, and i'm going out of my way to make sure i didn't miss anything. So AT LEAST I KNOW I'M NOT ON MY OWN ON THIS ONE,CHEERS Hybridiot.

  13. C.... Y....

he is just getting better with age, songs post 2001 are many here, just a click away, what has changed, compares to songs pre 2001?

  14. L.... C....

BRILLIANT singer & songer writer, prob one of the best in my view.. RESPECT..

  15. r.... ....

This is my favourite song on the album, right in front of Sell, Sell, Sell.

  16. C.... ....

Classic song and a great example of clever word play in relation to a string driven melody. Brilliant

  17. M.... E....

great music, pure, deep, alive.better than today's popular music and all the rap crap

  18. H.... ....

Yep, I don't disagree on that matter :D

  19. D.... S....

but you can't disagree that his best work is pre ANDAM? Just my opinion though.

  20. H.... ....

I wouldn't agree that it is pointless. You should give new albums a chance. I found "Draw the line" to be exceptionally good after I heard it a few times. ANDAM IS a little bit depressing and i see why you didn't like it much.

  21. D.... S....

I haven't listened to any of David's work after ANDAM..pointless..his best work is pre-2001

  22. P.... S....

@Hybridiot I Have I Like It...I Guess I Just Like Pointing Out The Obvious :P

  23. H.... ....

@bobcrawman34 - ofcourse... and the album is called sell sell sell. SELL YOUR SOUL BUOOOY FOR MONEY AND FAME. Listen to a track called "What are you".

  24. P.... S....

does anyone realize those things on his eye all have the number 666

  25. P.... S....

    Damn Shame The Song Ended..Continue > 0:00

  26. S.... P....

@Hybridiot Totally. A hidden gem on an album not many have heard of.

  27. M.... D....

    always one idiot

  28. S.... P....

    "You don't know your good
From your bad, from your black
From your blood, from your wrong
    From your right
So you can camouflage your heart"

    Love these genius lyrics. Brilliant...

  29. n.... ....

@torua84 its very simple , he sings about life, from his heart to our hearts.

  30. Y.... J....

.."I'm a child in the wild!!" Oh yeah!!!!

  31. 1.... M....

One of David's finest. Does he ever play it live?

  32. O.... ....

Beautiful, thanks for putting this up. :) Love this one. Any chance you could add "L's song"? I can't find that on YouTube :(

  33. t.... ....

Excuse me,Hybridiot, but there ain't no simplicity in David's songs...all of his songs go beyong its lyrics, the words selected may look familiar to you, but they're in a complex disguise that can only be decoded by certain people...no offense i meant to say... Gray is a genius!!!

  34. k.... ....

    Great song, great David:)))

  35. w.... ....

    Like it :)

  36. H.... ....

It's a shame that this song doesn't get the credit it should.. Glad you all like it.

  37. l.... ....

agreed. just discovered this album, and it's one of my favorites.

  38. B.... L....
