David Crowder Band - Silent Night Lyrics

Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright

Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

Silent night, holy night
Shepherds quake at the sight

Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing hallelujah
Christ, the Savior is born
Christ, the Savior is born

Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love's pure light

Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth

It started so quiet, so quiet
It started so quiet, so quiet
And what a night, oh, what a night
It started so quiet, so quiet
And then a light, oh and then a light

The last two minutes had me choking back tears the first time I listened to it. It is so symbolic of the arc of the life of Christ and his eventual triumph over death, leaving hope for all of us.

I was at Passion 2011 when the band did their Christmas set, it was brilliant. That's actually where this song and a few others off the album were recorded
