David Cook - Another Day In Paradise Lyrics
She calls out to the man on the street
"Sir, can you help me?
It's cold and I've nowhere to sleep,
Is there somewhere you can tell me?"
He pretends he can't hear her
Starts to whistle as he crosses the street
Seems embarrassed to be there
Oh think twice, it's another day for you and me in paradise
Oh think twice, it's just another day for you,
You and me in paradise, just think about it
She calls out to the man on the street
He can see she's been crying
She can't walk but she's trying
Oh think twice, it's another day for you and me in paradise
Oh think twice, it's just another day for you,
You and me in paradise, just think about it
Oh Lord, is there nothing more anybody can do
Oh Lord, there must be something you can say
You can tell from the lines on her face
You can see that she's been there
Probably been moved on from every place
Cause she didn't fit in there
Oh think twice, it's another day for you and me in paradise
Oh think twice, it's just another day for you,
You and me in paradise, just think about it
It's just another day for you and me in paradise (paradise)
It's just another day for you and me in paradise (paradise)
It's just another day for you and me in paradise

Beautiful cover, David is amazing singer songwriter rockstar 💚💙❤️🎶🎵
different beat but very eargasmic!
😍👍🎸🎤
Love his vocals on this song and how he slowed it down to give the lyrics a bit more punch pertaining to the subject matter.
03pattie1972 My thoughts exactly. This is one of those times when a cover really made me ‘hear’ a song in a way I hadn’t before. I never realized how poignant “Another Day in Paradise” actually is and what those words mean in the context of the song. Now this song has me thinking about life. With the slowed down tempo and arrangement, David’s version has a subtle sort of haunting quality to it. That main instrumental melody in the song here sounds almost like a ghostly echo of the original. I really like it. I feel like a marker of a good cover is if it can make me hear a song more clearly or in a new light. And as always, I love David’s voice.
Not as inspired. But then, with an American Idol win and a new family, I guess the motivation could be a bit different. I still wait for the next Time Of My Life.
i love it
