David Cassidy - For All The Lonely Lyrics

I wish he could have had more happy times in his life. I wish he could have found unconditional love. My husband was so unhappy and I tried so hard to make him happy. My mother-in-law told me she did not think I would ever make her son happy, so I should just divorce him. She told me she had tried to make him happy, and could not do it either. This made me angry, because I wondered why it was my job to make him happy. My husband had mental illness, and I finally found out through councelling that we are the only ones to make ourselves happy. I figured out that God could make Greg well and happy. I gave him unconditional love, and it was not easy. God did cure him of his multiple personalities. Greg was only one personality when he died of cancer. Greg went back to church and was happy at the end. I wanted a cure for the cancer, but you can't have everything. I wish David could have been happier on Earth. At least Greg and David are happy in Heaven and out of pain. Love to all.

I was thinking last night after watching David Cassidy clips, how bizarre to be sooooo famous and admired for 40 plus years and then the last years of his life lose everything to alcoholism and Alzheimer's. And to die of organ failure relatively young!

Would you sign a soul contract like that?

One of the last things he said was "so much wasted time".
It really made me realize tomorrow is not promised, what are you doing with today?

Jenny: I was thinking that too. David looks lost and sad and lonely in many pictures. It makes you just want to hug and kiss him and take care of him. I don't know how his wife ever left him especially at the end when he was so sick and when he needed her the most.
