Having said that im a bit biased. Bowie made his best music in the 90s in my opinion.
A lot of people dont agree with that and i know it. Bowie was always good, many would say the best. In the 90s i think he made his best music. A little side note, bowie was one of the best live performers ever. He knew how to put on a show!

This is the best song off this album ,.... but it's all good here -

2:44 I love that little "ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch change" part. Looking back, he referenced alot of his earlier work on his newer albums and it's always fun hearing all those little references in songs you wouldn't expect to hear them.

This album was totally under-rated...however, not by me....I remember getting an advance copy of it and as usual Bowie blew me away....

Not a fan of his earlier work. But when this lp dropped I also got an advance copy . Crazy right?

I YouTube Searched this song specifically to hear the 'bassline'. And glad I found this Vid. 'Love the move of the backup singers (Almost 100% sure 1 of them is Fonzie Thorton). Would'nt it be great if Bowie did gigs w/the reportoie being nothing but tunes that Fans would 'really' love to hear? Songs like this, Ricochet, Criminal World, Real Cool World, 1/2 of young Americans, Pablo Picasso, She'll Drive The Big Car.... All The Young Dudes et al can stay home (you know what I mean)

There is no Gary Oldman version. There is the Reeves Gabrels version, which has Gary Oldman on one verse. This was originally a Tin Machine song that they didn't get around to recording, which is why it's credited to both Bowie and Gabrels.
