David Bowie - It's No Game (Part 2) Lyrics
Silhouettes and shadows
watch the revolution
No more free steps to heaven
Just walkie-talkie - heaven or hearth
Just big heads and drums - full speed and pagan
I am barred from the event
I really don't understand the situation
So where's the moral
People have their fingers broken
To be insulted by these fascists it's so degrading
And it's no game
Documentaries on refugees,
couples 'gainst the target
and it breaks into pieces
Draw the blinds on yesterday,
and it's all so much scarier
Put a bullet in my brain,
and it makes all the papers
And it's no game
Children round the world,
put camel shit on the walls
They're making carpets on treadmills,
or garbage sorting
And it's no game

David Bowie It's No Game (Part 2) Comments
From listening to all of David Bowie's discography, I think Scary Monsters, Diamond Dogs and Low are three of his poorest and weakest albums! That's just my opinion!
@sidney pasquarelli …….Diamond Dogs is one of his overlooked BEST albums. His vocals o that album were off the chart showing his amazing range. Scary Monster is up there in his top 5, Low.....is simply BRILLIANT....but you've every right to be wrong :)
@Johnnywhamo I'm not wrong, It's my opinion, a matter of taste, that's all!
Ziggy, Aladdin and Heathen are by far the best for me!
@sidney pasquarelli ….I put a "smile" on the end of that to let you know I wasn't being serious. I realize that's you opinion, I was being a smart ass. That said you'd be in the minority especially with regard to Low as critically it's on of his strongest albums wityh many reviews coming in at 9 to 10/10 or 4 to 5/5 . It's regarded as one of his masterworks
@Johnnywhamo ok
“Children ‘round the world... put camel shit on the walls.”
Its really not surprising that David wrote this in the early 80s, this is what's going n today in America under this fascist party!
Bowie was at one time himself accused of having fascist sympathies. It's not a term to be bandied about so carelessly. Have a safe trip when (presumably) you relocate somewhere less threatening to your wellbeing.

I realise now that this is just number 1 but without the japanese and Bowie isnt screaming
no Fripp either
One of my fave songs on Scary Monsters!
Put a bullet in my brain and it makes all the papers... Less than a month later etc... He really was from the future
meme school
He's do much better than me
A big feeling of thanks for this album. For me it kept music alive after John was gone.
Bowie's most brilliiant record still stands up to that. The most innovative record he did. It was his Sargent Peppers.
OR GARBAGE SORTING
REVOLUTIONS ARE MESSY
Minha música.....Love Daviud Forever
👍♥️
This album is boring
Blasphemy!!
ludicrous!
...said the troll, LOL :D
It's a great album, maybe you'll appreciate it when you have more life experience and know more about the world
AMX poopwagon
Thank u so much!!
That rhythm section is so tight. Bowie chose the best musicians to work on every single album.
"Children around the world/Put camel s*it on the walls"
02:28 À partir deste momento a música começa a transmitir magia, me sinto incrível!
That groove.
Draw the blinds on yesterday and it's all so much scarier.
Genuis! LOL
Polly Ann Put a bullet in my brain, and it makes all the papers....drums!
Tremendous song!
The five dislikes (and counting) obviously cannot comprehend cutting edge creative music. Every song of David’s is timeless and brilliant. Granted, there are some songs I don’t like. However, I appreciate how brilliant and unique they are. Only the great ones produce music that NEVER ages! Of course David Jones was one of them. #RIPStarman #Ziggy4Ever
I love the contrast between this and the first songs. It's like he went through the whole album and came to some kind of catharsis and is able to
perform this song without any aggravators
Breddouson that is a nice way of putting it.
How all cures should work.
Remember when we got this when we went to the movies?
Not just more bullshit! LOL
I always thought it refers to getting tired from decades of fighting the fascists but still believing in the fight
Put A Bullet... In My Brain... & It Makes All The Papers! I think he wrote that from... John Lennon's Death!
The LP was released 12 September 1980, almost three months before Lennon's assassination. A premonition?
Also, the ‘bullet in my brain’ line was allegedly written when bowie was 15 years old! Quite a premonition indeed

to be insulted by these fascists is so degrading....
Oh damn what a fuckin' song
I love it
Tbh prefer the demo of this song better, more relatable and strong.
thanks for the heads up .. will check it out
He knew that life's no game.....................
Those drum sounds!
This was the album that made me a fanatic at age 11, and then I had the whole previous decade to discover
dmtsymphony I was 14, pushing 15. I was a big Tubeway Army/Gary Numan fan at the time. My older sister who was 17 at the time gave me the money to go and buy "Scary monsters album" on my way home from school, as it was on the route. I remember hearing the opening of "It's no game pt1" and was blown away. I ended up listening to the full album with my sister and was converted immediately to Bowie⚡. Luckily for me, she already owned ALL the albums previous to then. How lucky I was to be able to dig into all that vinyl! The original albums.. Now the re-release of the Bowie albums are £20.00 upwards and they are really thick vinyl these days. Vinyl was ALWAYS best IMO! The artwork, lyrics, Gatefold covers etc. CDMA and cassettes ain't the same. As for download? Such an empty experience! I am so glad I kept those albums. The Ziggy motion picture soundtrack is BETTER on its original release in 84 compared to the Tony Visconti remix that came out on CD on the 40th Anniversary?!.Anyway... I think I have gone on a bit! 😱. BOWIE Rocks forever! ⚡ 🌟
and Im 22 lol
FEEL MY FETUS MOVE [“She had a horror of rooms. She was tired.
You can't hide beat.” - David Bowie, “Scary Monsters” 1980]
She is our community's bicycle, everyone gets to ride. She is a door
knob too, everyone gets a turn. She loves to commit deadly suicide.
A marvellous voice!!!!
A favourite album of the criminal mastermind Atremis Fowl, II.
@Sophia Stutey oh thank you :) It makes sense. I haven't read them yet
@Sophia Stutey aaah thanks for recommendation. I was actually planning to read it soon, when I come back from holidays :D
@Sophia Stutey oooh how awesome!! Definitely going to read it ;)
@Sophia Stutey I am generally planning to buy the whole series in English and read it again (because I read it originally in Polish). And as I'll be moving to London soon, the series will be a perfect gift from myself to me :)
A real landmark album - a bridge- what had been and for what was to come. There was something in that restless mind of his. In 1980 he had collected it.
I'd consider it more a destination, this is where David really achieved putting his personal stamp on music. The Berlin trilogy was a trial of sorts, experimentation to perfect the merging of genres he is famous for.
what a great album, but i'm still with station to station
+KreshPlays Station was the transitional move to art rock...this is the culmination of that transformation...IMO..the best album he ever made...R.I.P. MR BOWIE
Mianbao Diamond Dogs and Aladdin Sane. And The Man Who Sold the World. And Lodger. And The Next Day. And Ziggy Stardust. And everything. He was too good, I can't choose
No need to choose one, I think his best music spans his whole career.
Discorded Spectrum agreed. Though I think the reason I agree is to cover the shame I feel after forgeting Earthling and Lets Dance in my last comment(;
I am barred from the event
I really don't understand the situation
