Dave Mason - We Just Disagree Lyrics

Been away, haven't seen you in a while
How've you been, have you changed your style?
And do you think that we've grown up differently?
Don't seem the same, seems you've lost your feel for me

So let's leave it alone, 'cause we can't see eye to eye
There ain't no good guy, there ain't no bad guy
There's only you and me and we just disagree

I'm going back to a place that's far away
How 'bout you, have you got a place to stay?
Why should I care when I'm just trying to get along?
We were friends, but now it's the end of our love song

So let's leave it alone, 'cause we can't see eye to eye
There ain't no good guy, there ain't no bad guy
There's only you and me and we just disagree

So let's leave it alone, 'cause we can't see eye to eye
There ain't no good guy, there ain't no bad guy
There's only you and me and we just disagree

"There's no good guy. There's no bad guy. There's only you and me and we just disagree."

You know, technically this is grammatically incorrect. And they missed a good opportunity for another rhyme.

    Hear me out:

"There's no good guy. There's no bad guy. There's only you and I; we don't see eye to eye."

  39. Jean Manuel Serat

I was born in 1973. Always had a connection with music from the 60’s but more so the 70s. I can’t tell how much flack I get from friends and family about it. Going to college in the 90’s and having to be subjected to utter garbage music and the culture in general on daily basis. Dave Mason and Lightfoot, Zeppelin got me through those dismal years. In fact if music ceased to exist after 1985 I would be fine with it.

  40. Wendy W

What an excellent song! Man, do I miss the seventies! 😑

  41. Paul Baransky

    Such a good message

  53. Boots Mahgoots

This is a "live" version that should not be at the top of the list for this search.  If the search included the work "live", then yes.  It's waste of time to the people that use your search engine.

  54. Trent Mason

  69. THX 1138

Man we were just so spoiled with so much good music traveling along with us. Too bad it had to trail off. I'd like to just flip a bitch and head right back.

  70. GunsAndPoker

Gentleman, stop being blue pilled. Open your eye's and learn about the red pill, in relationships..

  71. Flying Solo

Major simp song. The man in the song has to capitulate to the insecurity of the woman.
EVERY woman sees the man as the bad guy or the fantasy, which is sadly often one in the same. Despite this, women still want to change him.
    Prove me wrong.

  72. Santos Carreon

    Fuck commercials

  73. Wendy Lynn Goldsberry Rydel

  76. Debra Ordes

  77. Chris Visser

College freshmen... First girlfriend, first boyfriend (become "adults")… Move in together after a couple of years in dorms... Cared desperately for this (beautiful, smart, determined, kind) young lady (picture Elizabeth Taylor in "National Velvet" - or Danica Patrick for a younger generation). Got the bright idea I should become a (pro) tennis player. She knew she wanted to be a doctor... And became one... I went on to become... a tennis bum... She realized she needed stability (did I note that she was very smart and very determined?) and I thought I needed to go out "and find myself"... 45 years later and this young lady is still the only girl (woman now) I ever cared this much for... She ended up marrying another doctor, I meandered along for years until I found a "career"...This song is, indeed, the soundtrack of my life...

  78. NYMets73

I appreciate this record now more in 2019 than I did in 1977.

2:27 - Could we get more of a closeup please?

  84. Paul Williams

One of the great 70's jams!

  85. Woody Schuler

The simplicity of this message in a song; “there’s only you and me, and we just disagree...” So simply sad; kind of like Carole King’s “Too Late”. This is a beautifully crafted love song. (With great backup vocals by the way!) I do believe it IS a love song. Every relationship goes through this but some can’t get past the disagreement part. Kudos to Dave and this great collection of real musicians!!

  86. Wendy GR

I still believe this to be one of the absolute best songs ever penned.. An I know how it is to lose your feel for someone man that's a strong line "seems you lost your feel for me" she did just that...

  96. Jarrod Schroeder

This is written by Jim kreiger from Manitowoc, wisconsin!

  97. Infantry Gunner
