Dave Mason - Look At You Look At Me Lyrics
"One, two, one, two"
Lookin' all around me
What do I see?
Lots of changing faces
But I'm happy just to be
A part of all I see
As I turn around to look at you
And you look back at me
There isn't time to hang around
Anymore
So fill your heart with lovin'
And open up the door
Someone's calling out to you
As I turn around to look at you
And you look back no more
I'm feeling low
I'm feeling down
My head's been twisted, yeah
All around
But now my feet, oh yeah
Are on the ground
For everyone to see...
There's many ways to reach you
Though you're far away
All the little things we do
The little things we say
I miss you like I miss the sun
I need you every day
As I turn around to look at you
And you look back my way
Lookin' all around me
What do I see?
Lots of changing faces
Lots of things to be
But I'm happy just to be
Part of all I see
As I turn around to look at you
And you look back at me
I'm feeling low
I'm feeling down
My head's been twisted, yeah
All around
But now my feet, oh yeah
Are on the ground
For everyone to see...

Soooo goopd. Real. Music
2020, & it is still my favorite ever!
steve winwood and dave mason in one band. not too shabby
best D. Mason album is the live double album ,superb
Saw Dave in Sacramento mid 80s, small club maybe 60 people.... Was blown out. My childhood hero from Traffic.
Took a little cutie maybe 20 years younger, she could not see what the excitement was about. Put her on a bus back to Ridgecrest.....
Far out.
Love it!
Which guitar do you think he was playing on this
Sweeeeeeeeet gets better with time love it , super super bad thanks dave😉
damn - mescaline in europe and this song - happy times!!!
I probably haven't heard this song in 40+ years. Haven't thought about it; forgot it even existed. Happened upon it by chance, looking for some other song. Gave it a listen and thought, 'Oh wow, I remember this." Listened again. Listened again. Going back for another listen, lol. So good.
Older brothers loved him so I've had his greatest hits for 25? years. I always thought nothing special. But, just back into albums and got his albums as extras. So lucky I did. Wow! Is there another underappreciated artist out there? I get it now!! Every one should be rocking to this
Yeppers, I still have this amazing marbled vinyl. Spent many hours having a doobie while sitting in a candle lit room. As much as I enjoyed the whole song, I was always in a rush to hear the solo. Love to be 19 again. Maybe I partied more often than I should have, but I never missed work and was always on time. Almost fifty years later, still groovin to the tunes.
Damn Dave....
saw him live in lawrence, Kansas in 1974 or. 75......awesome then......
Who says Britt's don't have soul?
These were good times in artists to writings. Absolutely such good times!
dave is the dude, he abides
I still get goosebumps when I hear this tune, especially the last two minutes So much good music out in the first few years of the 70's His album with Cass is another to me gem!!
Dave Mason : ONe UNDERRATED GUITAR PLAYER, COMPOSER! DM put out nothing but first class music...
Oh hell yeah. There is nothing like Dave Mason.
The solo
The solo
The Solo
The solo
as a 15 year old kid it blew me away then. it still does.
Saw Dave Mason at a balloon festival in NJ about 2001, only about 30 people in the audience, while I was thrilled to see him so close and personal, I felt bad for him knowing that most didn't realize what a star this guy is!
Classic rock for all time.
The solo
Magnificent!
Always Great !!!
I first heard Yvonne Elliman’s version of this song. It’s a faster pace. It’s really good too.
I have to agree with all those that feel this is indeed one of the great solos in rock. Hos tone is SO emotive and clear and expressive. I wonder if he was playing a Les Paul in the bridge position? Maybe P90s? Whatever is was, it is killer.
Dave Mason has written lots of great songs, but this is my favorite.

what a cool party we all could have if we all met !!
Music was in its prime in the 60's and 70's folks. You should inspire from here! own this one as a priceless in its pressed in vinyl. Keep the good stuff!
Oh my high school years!!
Had this LP in 71' & played the living hell out of it everyday!!!!
Lock and load !!
RETURNING IN WINTER 2019!!!

E Clapton licks all the way, esp in the 2nd lead solo....
This guitar solo compliments the song without overshadowing it, as if an extension of the thought and mood that prevails throughout, but with the soulful wail of the lone guitar taking you deeper. A rare display of subtlety and virtuoso.
Love Dave Masson but love Steve winwood more.
When Dave Mason came to Scottsdale, AZ on his ‘Alone Together’ your I was on it instantly! He played this whole album... brought tears to my eyes. Simply amazing the music from those times is ageless!
Always considered this one of gems of the early 70’s...every tune is great...definitely wore it out. To me it’s a ‘night’ album not daytime.
Dave Mason a good and love guitarest , I Dig his albums.
Dave GETS IT
WOW !!!!!!! I have been looking for this song for a long long time... The only thing I remembered was Looking all around me, what do I see. I always thought it was Dave Mason. I also knew it had a great solo. finally, finally, finally I found it!!!! And here it is, in all its glory. Preserved for us all to here and remember, a better time, when the music was pure and special and enlightening. Thank You U Tube for being here. To all the others who like this song, I feel we all are lucky to have this song pulled from the ravages of time and placed here for all of us to enjoy. ☮ to you all..dave in Sierra vista AZ.
This has gotten a lot of plays over the last five years, as the cream rises to the top!
One of the best live shows I ever saw him at Folsom Field in Colorado you don't know what you missed
They should digitally remaster this classic recording. Why haven’t they?
I bought Alone Togetther in 72/73- and DM, you make look like a very taste oriened young man, Wow that is beaitifful, and , just so rich of the best of Rock and Roll , TIMELESS as a 1967 Shelby Fastback. Don't take down Justin Bieber, because he woulld be high fiving it too. Remembar the story that DM was one of the lowest weighted births in Engkand of =his day- something like less tha 2, and hhow he can see is mysterious. That 'is why je is thete giant\\
Wow, I forgot about this one! Thank you!
1st time i’ve Heard this since probably ‘74 or 75. It was very popular on Detroit area FM at that time. When radio played songs of any length because music (at least seemed to) played more of a role. Now advertisers are all radio is about. LP’s may still be being made, but terrestrial radio isn’t broadcasting them. We had the best radio between the 60’s & mid 70’s.
I bought the marbled vinyl album. Still have it. This tune still rocks after all these years.
Thank you Dave for all the wonderful music!! We still love your style!
... still a rock masterpiece after all these years ...
great damn song...first time I've heard it..big Traffic fan...Mason is a great musician
Cosmic musician Cosmic guitar Cosmic Moon lyrics just incredible
Top notch album, and my favorite tune on it. Definitely one of my top 100 rock songs of all time.
Excellent lyrics and band😊😉😍
One of the great musicians of the modern age. Incredible catalog and still going strong. Current tour with Steve Cropper is outstanding. This record is on my desert island list.
I can listen to his music all day. Beautiful. Thank you Dave Mason.

Damn....I truly wish I was alive when this music was being introduced to the world. I'm 35 and my father showed me this music when I was 15 or so......and I still can never get it out of my soul. That being a good thing though!!!! Thanks Dad!!!😁
I'm wondering in different time periods with the rhythm of all these great musicians and feeling elated!! Thank you

The last solo makes my hair stand on end. Dave is truly an emotional guitarist who is blessed with a unique sound you can recognize in the first bar of any of his songs.
One of the finest compositions every recorded!!!
Pity the lost souls who waste their time listening to the crap that passes for
today's popular music. This song (and album) are from era when many of us
took this wonderful music for granted. Well, those days are long gone and we
now realize that artists like Dave Mason (and so many others) were and are
gifts from the music gods...we have been blessed, my friends!
I never took the music for granted. It was a special time of genius and I lived it. It is embedded in my soul.
GREAT SONG WORE IT OUT ON CETIFIED LIVE BACK INTHE SEVENTIES
Great guitarist singer and writer. Rock and Roll hall of famer who gets almost no airplay or recognition .My all time favorite.,
I totally can relate!!! If only one can see the truth of OUR Love!!! :) <3

Back in the day!!!!
opening ... I think of Hendrix, all along the watchtower...ripoff...per usual!
william tilton // Dave Mason was the rhythm guitar w/ Jimi on Watchtower

I remember meeting Dave Mason in the early 90's at a small bar in Ft. Lauderdale. ,Sunrise music exchange I think...very friendly.... smallest crowd... played his heart out... Unforgettable...
you lying fuck
Loved this song since the 70s. The best guitar solo in my list.
laying back with the earbuds loud. haven't heard this in 45 years. wow. just wow.
had the multi colored vinal..
Happy Birthday today(May 10) to Dave Mason. Cheers!
So how's this for playing the guitar folks?
A classic album in more ways than one. If you have it, you know what I mean. Think marble.......
THANK YOU I BEEN LOOKIN FOR THIS FOR YEARS*
Seen Dave Mason a few times. The measure of an artist is their live performances, and he needs no studio help...
One of the very best of all time
I used to have the original limited fold out sleeve with the marble vinyl! worth a fortune now and I don't even remember what happened to it
excellent song!! suckass video
That is definitely NOT Eric Clapton playing the rideout solo!!
Dave played a 12 string acoustic in the Hendrix recording of All along the Watchtower; later released his own cover. Amazing in concert.
“Alone Together” remains just a terrific album, and “Look at You Look at Me” is a great song with one of the best guitar solos.
It is early gillmour
Sacramento peace and love...
